Chrome hides cracks. Polish the rims, won't add weight and don't have to worry about the chrome peeling later.

It's usually pretty tough to get membership, but with these tough economic times, there are some associate membership slots opening up (those turn into full membership once everyone gets to know each other and it becomes clear that you're not an ax murderer or jerk ). Update: SA95 will be okay but not M95 as the M10's will be available In Jan 2010

No. The SSC has determined that all SSS need a fresher course. All SSS with expired license can take the fresher class.

The tech for "solo" cars would be for running TT or HPDE since they are tied in with Papa CalClub.

Solo tech is still separate. I haven't heard anything else.

I keep seeing the "OPR" that people gathered but I haven't heard anything about the "snakes". At Salina, we would pick up the OPR and the "Salina Snakes" which is the rubber they put in the expansion joints. Sometimes those suckers would whip out and go for course worke...

Yeah with any concrete thats 65 years old in the Midwest will have some breakage. All that ice and freeze stuff going on.
