Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation
This idea has been tossed around for at least the last 15 years, around the time of the Great CalClub Message Board Wars of 2002 and a few years before I was vice-chair in 2006-2007, partially as a way to prevent the cliquishness and tribalism. I've always liked it. One advantage that has always app...

If you do Yutes Tom, I believe the only parents would be David Barrish, Robert Baltazar, Mike Nakata and Will Kalman. Robert, Mike, and Will are very experienced and can help with how we have been separating grid, spacing the karts, and the latest high points in tech. The robotics team I mentor jus...

I have a 2004 C5 Z06 FRC 6-speed for sale.
Ping me if you decide to go that route. It's not been autocrossed, raced, or abused. It belonged to a family member who passed away.

Craig, I got your PM in my email but it's not in my inbox here. I sent a new message but it's in the Outbox, not the Sent Items so I'm not sure if you'll get it.

If an adult runs a JA kart, can they be paxed as JA and not KM for SCNAX cup?
Does Team Unnamed want a JA kart teammate? (You'll probably have to be somewhere between 5'9" and 6' to fit the kart)

For Sale: 2004 Corvette Z06 FRC (Hardtop Coupe)
My father-in-law passed away a few months ago and I'm helping to sell his Corvette. It's silver, completely stock and in good condition. If interested, leave me a PM here or catch me at an event. I can drive it to a local event if someone is interested in checking it out. 49,000 miles. We're looking...

Re: Great Course
Yeah, it took me all three runs to beat my kids in our "spare" JA kart for the first time! (Which is now what Dane will be driving since he slightly outweighs me and is only 3" shorter now!) These things make *Miatas* look like overpowered ill-handling cars! 13435290_10209948184240205...

Event #2... beat one kid and was only 0.148 off the other ... Gaining ground! Still almost 1.5 seconds out of the lead in JA  These things don't accelerate hard (although rev limter @54mph at the end of the first wallom!), but when you plant the gas at the start and don't lift until the hard ...

Junior Karters - Respect!
If you think those kids are out there just wheeling a cute little kart around the track for funzies, guess again! I brought out the kids' previous kart (we just upgraded) and ran it in "KM" in complete JA spec. I'm at a weight and equipment disadvantage, but I figured I may be able to appl...

Re: Regular/Time only/X runs
When we were at ~300 entries, we were running eight groups which really helped worker changes since nobody was in a situation where they were working/running immediately after running/working and could show up to work before the prior group finished.

Re: New Street tires detrimental to the sport?
If you want to reduce the cost of autocrossing, find out what class a used Miata dominates (there's always at least one), buy the car, and go for it. There's a cheap avenue, even if you didn't choose it by buying a Mustang, which isn't anyone else's doing. Heck, you could have bought a National Cham...

Re: New Street tires detrimental to the sport?
I can make it louder or experiment with sway bars and that's it. However, tires which constitute a major expense, are completely open. You forgot shocks. You can add several thousand dollars worth of custom-valved shocks. And spend a thousand or more getting them re-valved to optimize them. And lot...
