Enkei RPF1 17x7 +45 5x114.3

Selling a set of Enkei RPF1, specs are 17x7 +45, 5x114.3. No tires included. These wheels are in perfect condition, were only used for autocross events. They weigh just 14.9lbs! I don't think they make a lighter wheel in this size, and it's definite advantage in the stock classes. It made me competi...

Re: Explain sway bar binding to me

Update: turns out the bar was super bound up. With the endlinks unhooked, I had to use both hands and wrench the bar around before it would move at all. Ground down the bushing about 1/8" and it was much better, but still a bit stiff on the initial movement. Shimmed the brackets with two washer...

Explain sway bar binding to me

Hey everyone, been chasing a handling issue down with my BMW. Sometimes it will be neutral, and other times it will default to interminable, serious understeer. For once, it's not the operator's fault. I drove a friend's car, that for all intents and purposes, is identical to mine: Same car, same da...

Help with braking problem

Hey gang, I took the Civic to Buttonwillow and ran into very serious braking problems, and I was hoping someone could shed some light. It's a stock Civic Si, with the only changes being a rear bar, 225 RE71R and at the time, Project Mu Club Racer brake pads, that were recommended to me for track wor...

Re: When to flip RE71R

These are on my H-Street Civic Si (the silver one). Mystery alignment (bought it used), stock shocks, no camber bolts, etc. As far as pressures, the car seems to feel best around 34-35psi hot up front and about 30-32psi hot in the rear.

When to flip RE71R

My RE71R having been wearing out the center rib, crowning towards the outside/wear edge, which I've been told is normal. However, at what point should I have these tires flipped? These have about 50 AX runs on them + ~500-700 street miles. Track day at Buttonwillow in two weeks, wondering if I shoul...

Poly Control Arm Bushings Stock/Street Legal?

Hey All, my Civic Si that I run in H-Street is due for front control arm bushings. Those RE71R are car killers ;) Anywho, I figured if I have to go through the trouble of having bushings pressed in/out, I may as well go polyurethane vs. OE rubber so I only have to do it once ever. The poly bushings ...

Vendor for racing seats?

Hey All, curious if there is a preferred local vendor in LA/OC who stocks racing seats? Hoping to sit in some seats and get an idea of what seats "fit" and which don't. If you could point me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!

I went in and fixed your number for this weekend's event and adjusted the permanent number list that exists behind the scenes on Motorsportreg so that you won't run into this problem again. Re: Looking for chassis setup help

Does the car have LSD, or it open? big rear bar + open = bad. That said, in terms of balance, sounds like you need less rear spring rate, and more rear bar. The rear bar will help keep the front wheels planted and increase front grip while balancing out the softer rear spring.

Question about points card numbers and MotorsportReg

Hello All, I opted to get a points card this year, and lock in my number of choice (200). However, when I went to register for the December event on MSR, I noticed that my number was not available. Is this because I have "chosen" it as my own, and it's therefore off the available numbers l...

WTB: Bridgestone RE71R

Hey all, wondering where to buy the new Bridgestones, in either 215/45R17 or 225/45R17. No local race/tire shops seem to be carrying them yet. Is TireRack the only reliable source thus far?
