Determining max number of cars on course
How do we normally determine this? Not looking for a good guesstimate by the starter, rather if there's a formula, re: amount of cars, time ran, length of course.

Trailer Rental
Likely a shot in the dark since I'm not the only one this happened to, but does anyone here have a trailer that they wouldn't mind renting out? Avoiding having to drive the car straight to Lincoln

https://www.paragonlaboratories.com/testing-services/fuels-and-lubricants/fuels-and-lubricants-full-list $310 to send it in here. I think originally the idea was asked to not have to enforce this rule locally, but of course it's required by the rules. I doubt anyone will protest since people's maps...

Re: Rules Proposal - Octane
Perhaps I'm being naive, but my *hope* is that all our competitors value the competitive spirit and developing their skills more than they value cheating. I know I hate the feeling when I lose, but greatly appreciate a hard-earned win. I don't believe this is about cheating - If I see a member use ...

It's also a rule that we have no means of enforcing.Mike Simanyi wrote:It's not an option. The fuel requirements are in 3.6, which is a required section of the national rules.
We can't "supp regs" that out of existence if we want to operate SCCA events.

Rules Proposal - Octane
I propose that we should replace the current Fuel rules for Street and ST "3.6 FUEL A. Street and Street Touring® category vehicles will use fuel which is “Federally approved for use on public highways,” and which does not exceed an octane rating of 93 AKI (Anti-Knock Index = [R+M]/2) with an a...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
I was happy to be out by 1:30 at the last event. I would be happy with that and as the poll reflected, most were. But there were only 117 people there, an unusually light crowd. The problem as I see it Adam, is that some people will not want to devote all day to get four runs in. I won't. If I see ...

Re: New to me '92 MX5 Miata
There is no rule that will prevent your car from being autocrossed, it just depends on the competition level you're looking for. If you're just starting, I wouldn't worry too much about the rules - we have a local class called California Street Tire, in which the only rules are that you be on 200tw ...
