It's bone stock.

I tried to sign up for TNiA last year but was told that I needed a roll bar for my car. Not sure if a hardtop alone will do it.

Re: Novice looking for the basics

Hey all, my son Owen and I had a BLAST this weekend, our first Auto Cross! The Volvo ran great and is everything my son was hoping it would be, can't wait to drive again at the February event. To prepare for Feb, does anyone have for sale or can recommend a good place to get a L/XL Open faced helme...

Re: January Event Registration Open

I know this is a very late, but can I do a walk up registration for Sunday Championship? Registration is closed online, and I was still wondering if walk up registration was still an option. Thanks! -Chris My understanding is that walk-up registration for Sunday's are welcome since there is no cap ...

Re: Why Get Your Start at Autocross Sunday?

Umm, does that mean the entirety of the original post is invalid, or that getting someone experienced to ride along is "fat chance, fat boy." I was told that being a noob passenger with a vet driving would be unlikely on Sundays. To my eyes Randy just posted something similar to George's ...

Re: New Racer Hello/Questions

Our Sunday novice program is a little more structured than our Saturday stuff. That being said, we have a small team working on a more formalized Saturday program as well. At a minimum, I've been asking the newbies to stay after the Saturday morning driver's meetings and I've been trying to get the...

Re: New Racer Hello/Questions

Come find me for a ride along on Saturday if you make it out! My car doesn't have any power but it turns on a dime. You'll have to sit in Randy's vette to experience a fire breathing monster. :D Thanks! I'll take you up on that! The Volvo has decent power, but cannot turn to save its life. Even on ...

Thanks so much for the welcome! Even though Saturday is sold out, I think I will show up, just to see the course. Re: New Racer Hello/Questions

Just to be clear, the Saturday Practice is sold out. There are limited entries for Practices (none for Sunday Championships), but you can still come, take rides with people and just get a feel for what it's all about. Welcome to the group, hope to see you Saturday or Sunday. Rick is right! Saturday...

Hello! I'm new to the board, and to autocross, but I am excited to get started. Like I said, I have never autocrossed before, but I just bought a Volvo s60r awd, and I want to see what it is capable of doing, and have some fun. Other than paying for the SCCA membership and registering my car, is th...

Re: Tires... what happened to them? Does it mean anything? What next?

Thanks for the reassurance! I was worried about my possible longevity in this sport if a set of tires was good for only a couple outings. What happens to the OPR, eventually? Does it fall off? Does it melt/merge into your tire? Does it just live there forever? I guess I'll find out... Smooth is fas...

....two groups of people that you're trying to satisfy - Hard core competitors and causal drivers... The hard core group, the base, has got...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?

I'm going to point out the people who should really be voting in this poll aren't going to. Event format/efficiency is really about appealing to the casual competitor. The casual competitor is what really swings our numbers. If we make it hard, they don't show, make it easy and they do. The hard co...

NB Mazda Miata Sport, 5 Spoke Wheels, 15x6", Pair

Used, one pair of NB Miata 5 spoke wheels. 15" +40 offset and 4x100. Light-weight. Miata.net lists these as 13.1 lbs each, which is one of the lightest 15" wheels you can buy for this price. Good condition, no bends or cracks. Wheels are perfectly round. Never had any problems. Wheels were...

Also if you plan to mount it inside the car, you really don't need a tether. I've never had it come loose as the spring loaded clamp is fairly strong. Mounting it outside of the car would be a different story and I've never done that with a phone.

Hi Ed, that 2nd link, how do you attach that to your car. Yes Eric, a tether could be made from zip ties and anchors cheaply and securely. Good idea! Thanks!
