Also if you plan to mount it inside the car, you really don't need a tether. I've never had it come loose as the spring loaded clamp is fairly strong. Mounting it outside of the car would be a different story and I've never done that with a phone.

Re: Cell/Smart Phone mount that does not make tech grumpy

Hi Ed, that 2nd link, how do you attach that to your car. Yes Eric, a tether could be made from zip ties and anchors cheaply and securely. Good idea! Thanks! Oh the second mount screws onto the first mount :P I just didn't like the X-grip mount on my phone so i went with something more simple If yo...

Awesome job! Google's PageSpeed analysis came back pretty decent too https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.solo2.com%2F&tab=mobile I especially like the Newcomer's page, it outlines the process well. Only issue I'm experiencing is that the calendar takes a...

Re: Membership and auto cross classes

In order to participate in the autocross classes (and auto cross but more interested in the classes) do I need to have a SCCA membership? or is that optional? Also how do I find those classes? Thank You If you've done no more than three autox events each year for the last three years, you can start...

It is not transferable, sorry.

Me and Ed from Sunday's E-Street class (NSFW language): https://youtu.be/JeOwJbY2Nv8 Thanks for the upload Leonard. I knocked off 0.8 seconds on my last run after comparing data with Leonard and talking with Dennis so I was pumped. Never been so excited to come in third in a fast class. :)

Re: Live Streaming AutoX Events

Something we looked into at work for live streaming is Mevo: https://getmevo.com/ I'm sure it's too pricey and more than we're looking to do, but it's pretty cool! I came across that as well! Really cool for vlogs and youtube channels! It is pricey, maybe its something we can work towards but i'm s...

Live Streaming AutoX Events

Has there been any discussion within the leadership team with regards to live streaming local championship and practice events? Haven't heard of any other clubs doing it, but I've seen friends in other regions just propping up a burner phone and go live. I always thought that was interesting. I kno...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

This is a welcome move. When I started Solo here in 1998, there was a requirement that I be affiliated with one of the autocross clubs. I had just joined the SCCA and I could never understand what the purpose of a club-within-a-club was supposed to be. Agreed! Newer member here, became pa...
