Re: Cougar Replacement
Congrats on the RX8 purchase. FYI, I have a set of the original 18x8 SSR comps that I might be willing to part with, but they will be more $$$ than the TR or Rotas.

In the incident pictured only 82. At that speed I typically don't worry about cops over here... no radar detector in the car, I'll bring it next year.Max Hayter wrote:How fast were you going Jason?

Reminds me of my first set of race tires when I was a n00b. No camber and probably overdriving on crap v700s:

The C6 Z06 has been in SS since it came out. Hmm, C5Z's are going for low 20k's right now, pretty tempting...Mako Koiwai wrote:Kris ... this year C6 Z06's ran ASP ... where Junior came in 2nd with his at Nationals. Next year I believe they will run in SS.

So if you share a car does each team member do 2 stints in that car? Seems like that would be an advantage over teams with no co-drivers I'm not sure if that would necessarily be an advantage. The car will be used for 24 runs assuming it's only used for one team. Yeah, the tires will get beat up......

On the other hand, I think I'm in favor since I'm too lazy to actually prep my own car to race. Hmm.

Pretty entertaining to watch. Wilcox hit a cone on his final run, then stopped for a down cone in the finish chute after the lights. On his re-run he got the time he needed, but hit another cone midway through the run.Steve Ekstrand wrote:Drama!!!

In STS, how much was it the car vs. drivers (CRX/Miata?). We were blaming it on the car all weekend. :) We had a rough time Sat morning when no rubber was laid down, but the car was much better Sunday. I'm not too familiar with the national STS scene, but Ian Baker finished 2nd last year at Nationa...

So, what's the surface like? The surface is great as far as how smooth and flat, and how much of it there is. You could pretty much design any course you wanted. Some small rocks do get thrown up by the cars, but I haven't seen anything significant chunks. The grip is actually slightly lower than I...

Walter Wong has been running his NSX down here with a 225/275 V710 setup and some suspension bits. I actually found it easy to drive in that config. No issues with snap oversteer at all. It was a little sluggish to turn in, and the gearing is a bit too tall like Randy mentioned... but overall it's a...

Re: Novice ... one more time
The timing software does not allow more than one indexed class to be applied. For the same reason, you can't run PAX SK2, or SK2 X runs. I think it's a pretty safe assumption that Novice class drivers will not be on r-compounds anyways.

Stayed at the Rainbow last time. A bit too much neon and suede going on in there, but the other casinos are probably fine. The whole town is like 5 square miles, wherever you stay will be close to the event site.
