Re: 2018 Lone Pine Time Trial, May 18-20

Rick, Where do I find the results from Saturday? Unfortunately we don't have a place to post them yet. The old FTP site I used to upload to went bye-bye. Which is why the CalClub results are in a new place. When we find a spot, the link on the Lone Pine web site will then take you there. Rick, if y...

solo2.motorsportreg.com is currently not working (individual links are working fine) - do we no longer have it, or is something down? Who is our motorsportsreg contact? thanks.

Re: Review of my best run on the practice course on 5-5-2018

1) Looks like you're going into 3rd gear from the video. I wasn't there, but you can probably stay in 2nd most of the time. 2) Remount your camera so it's more centered & less shakey ;) 3) Start recording as soon as your instructor sits in your car and don't stop til they leave - that way if you...

Re: Fellow Autocross

Hi Mysto, welcome! I'm sure you'll fit in just fine. I like all that stuff, too, but I think the more immediate question here is what car do you drive? and how did you hear about autox? Will you be coming out this weekend? :)

Couldn't hear the PA from the starter position on Saturday morning due to wind - just fyi. rechargeable air horn for indicating worker change over/check-in. wooo wooo. it's okay to blow sound just 5 small times a day right? https://www.amazon.com/Ecoblast-Rechargeable-Signal-Safety-Sports/dp/B009LNU...

If you don't care about lightweight, I use the older version of this Ridgid 18v Impact: https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-GEN5X-18-Volt-Brushless-Impact-Wrench-Kit-R86011SB/303037082 Works great & if you buy through Home Depot, it's lifetime service agreement (aka free replacement batteries). I...

Anyone who goes & wants to shadow for the January event, please PM me. You'll be mostly done after that (shadowing 1 more event)! We are very low on SSS for the region again. Thank you.

Re: Looking for volunteers

I can be SSS of record for the year. I am also available to be SSS for our January event. As a side note when filing for Event Sanctions, can we please always include "Cal Club" at the beginning or end of the titles? Most people don't see it, but I'm able to search for events on SCCA.com f...

Re: Anyone else's solo2 notifications going to spam?

Hi George, What date was the message that went to spam, and can you please send me the message headers - normally not visible. Thanks. Stephen Again, from my other emails/posts: is there a reason (cost or otherwise) that email notifications are coming from un1teee vs the actual domain? These messag...

Re: Anyone else's solo2 notifications going to spam?

Stephen: yes it is. DMARC is still failing. One way to potentially finally fix this is to actually add email services/mx records to solo2.com so emails are being sent from a solo2 address instead of a un1teee address.

Re: Place to measure center of gravity height

It looks like GM published the center-of-gravity height as 20.7" at some point on their media site: http://media.chevrolet.com/media/us/en/chevrolet/vehicles/bolt-ev/2017.tab1.html It wasn't in an earlier copy from 2016, and archive.org has not crawled it this year so I'm not sure when it appe...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

The reason behind the proposal is the lack of participation/interest in most clubs. I totally agree with you here: motivation for me is that whatever we do, it should help quality of events as well as quantity of participants. Will this proposal do that? I don't know, but keeping the system as-is d...
