Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!
CAM-S is your best option. XP would be those running on racing slicks or at least Hoosier A7s. CAM is a better fix for most kit cars and muscle car guys because the rules are fairly open. Just need to meet the 200tw rule, minimum weight, and don't have a lot of aero(some is okay, but there are limit...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!
Hi - I plan to attend the event on 7/10 and 7/11. This will be my first time at an event. I know someone can class my car when I get to the event, but I figure I would try to do it early and would appreciate some help as I am completely new to this. I have a stock 2019 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifogli...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!
CAM would be an easy classification. it's basically any mods (limited aero) and 200 treadwear tires. We have a fairly good sized group that shows up each month. Otherwise ESP or a street touring class.

I'd let you drive my car, but it's not legal for PAX class. Not sure what the run groups are yet, you could run it in XS-A(or whatever it's called now).

Re: Supplementary Classes in Local PAX Class
As an outsider (to the rules portion) this did feel like a reactionary decision. Not saying it was, but it leaves that feeling to someone on the outside. Maybe because of the lack of communication with member beforehand. I agree with Marshall that the rules should be followed more closely so members...

If we put a Mustang sticker on it, it then becomes CAM legal, right?Rick Brown wrote: ↑Wed Jul 22, 2020 2:19 pm You're welcome to run the FiST of course...... you don't have to worry about having excess HP trying to get to the ground.

Too bad we couldn't have done it today. It's a bit breezy and 68* up here. I actually put a jacket on to work outside.

I/ve never changed a kart tire, but I'd rather do than than to glue up 1/10th scale touring car slicks. We had a guy glue his hands and one wheel together.

Does anyone have any contact with people at Falken? I tried to email them thru their website but it failed to go thru. I'm wondering about an ETA on their 305/30 and 315/30 19 tires.

Re: Postponed: march 7 Trackcross at Buttonwillow gokart track
I can do Equipment and Tech, or at least assist with Tech. I usually tow my car to Fontana and can tow to Buttonwillow or drive there. My house is safe for storage of the equipment as the closest neighbor is 1/4 mile away and I'm on a 3 acre fenced in lot with noisy dogs(but I'd be more afraid of th...

Re: Lightweight wheels
I have too many sets of wheels for the Camaro already...don't know why, I just like having extra wheels around. I have two sets of Apex wheels, EC-7 in 19x10.5 ET22 and they weigh in at 24lbs, a set of ARC-8 in 19x11 ET11(24.5lbs) and ET43(21.8lbs). Also have a set of Project 6GR wheels in the facto...

I just want to know when we will see our first ASP Model 3. *edited for error* And with the recent OTA power increase of the Model 3, will the car get re-classed to AS? The car is now a sub 3 sec to 60 time. Who would be responsible to making sure a car isn't running beta firmware that is not made a...

Re: 2020 PAX factors released
Come to think about it someone should convince the SCCA mothership to build a spec class for the Tesla. The shocks and tires would be the key. I know a shock manufacture that would like to help. And that would go out the window when the adaptive suspension comes out. When I left, I had done RLDA on...

Re: Tire pumps tested. Harbor freight is a winner
I wonder how my factory air pump would stack up? Since I didn't get a spare with my Camaro, I got a can of tire sealant and an air compressor.
