Re: Cordless Impact

Casey and I have both been using the Milwakee for years. Very reliable, robust and enough torque for 1/2" and 12mm lug nuts. Not quite enough for 14mm or 5/8 that are torqued to 140 ft-lbs. Charge on a new-ish battery lasts quite a few events of changing 4 wheels. I had the Dewalt before and di...

Re: Local tire shaving?

This is inevitably where the "street tires are cheap" road leads ;) ;) ;) In all seriousness, I found when road racing in CMC, if you really wanted to win a race, show up with 3 or 4/32's and there was a big difference in grip, feedback from the tires, and transition stability. Jason ps --...

FS RaceCapture Pro Mk2

I upgraded the data acquisition on the Formula Ford this off season, and would like to sell this to someone local who might get some use out of it. It integrates with Solo Storm for anyone using that. https://wiki.autosportlabs.com/index.php?title=RaceCapture-Pro_MK2&redirect=no Was around $400 ...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

Speaking as an avid participant who has "mostly" left the governing (and apparently) squabbling to others, I do see merit in both methods, club, and unified. I too was mildly confused by the whole "points card" / which club do you wanna join. I raced the first season with 600 #s ...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

Clearly there is a goal here, and perhaps as one among many who doesn't regulatory attend board meetings, someone could state that goal in plane English. Is it to remove the vote of any club that hasn't hosted and event in 2017? Then as a member of one of those clubs, I would ask that we be given a ...

Thanks for all the helping hands

I just wanted to post a quick note to say thanks to everyone (KJ, Ron, Stan, John, Eric, Marshall, David and I'm sure I missed some) who helped Casey and I with our ignition issue yesterday. Its great to have such a wealth of automotive knowledge and helping hands when you're car is acting up. Thank...

Re: Points Card Squatting

I think if we strictly enforce the rule the way its written now, then at least we keep those that really do not run at all from keeping their number. I myself went through a number of years when I was primarily road racing where I only ran 1 maybe 2 events. That didn't mean that I didn't see myself ...
