Re: Car Classification Help

Hi Anthony! We've talked about this and conical "old school" bearing. Leave my wheel bearing alone... It's fine! ;) I'm hoping to compete with at least a 3-5 people on some level. Corrected time isn't quite as fun as raw. You've seen the car. Think it would be competitive in CST? It has so...

Is this an open event or are you required to go to the Championship as well? I'm really only interested in getting seat time these days... Gotta get my chops back!

I've had good luck with insurance work with Bells and Vaughn at Allen and Walnut (or there abouts).

Re: OT: OBDII Scanner

Thanks to Mako I got the code. It's a P0032 which means it's the expensive pre-cat (upstream) O2. Any suby guys have a recommended place to get these? The cheapest I've found online is around $175.

OT: OBDII Scanner

Anybody in the Pasadena area have an OBDII scanner I could borrow? My Subaru just threw a code.

Re: SuperTrapp Advice, or ... ?

I agree with the "don't" comment. All the dyno tests I've seen show that system way, way down on power compared to almost anything else. I like Magnaflow myself and have seen good dyno charts on them... My old 2276 Bug motor really liked it FWIW.

Re: Video from Streets of Willow

I always push the car... I'm the guy that always spins at least once in autocross. The only spot that made me nervous (and it made me very nervous) was the down hill section with the berms. I tended to get a bit "lost" in there due to nerves. Other than that there is plenty of runoff every...

He said he'd think about it... And then for some reason punched me. ;) I had a great time at Streets of Willow. The car chased down a full race 911 - 2.7L, full slicks, etc... He had an obvious power advantage, but with the combination of a great driver (Brad Roberts of 914club.com) and all the work...

Re: It Lives!

Wow! What a difference there is going from a non-adjustable, rubber bushing(ed), 15mm sway bar to this! Not only does the suspension feel more supple, but I seem to have more grip. I can't wait to run again!

Oh man... I don't know many of them in person (yet). So I'll be thrashing to make bushings for my uber ghetto ...

It Lives!

The 914 is finally back on the road. 1st gear is still a bit dodgy, but it's there... I probably will not make the 5/2-3 race as I'm gearing up for WCR '09 which is an all 914 event in So. Cal. The last day of which is held at Willow Springs on the short track. I've got a thoroughly used sway bar to...
