Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?

One more group to reach out to would be the BMWCCA, the LA chapter autocross program has gone dark. That and Tom has a perspective from the starters flag that unless you have a chance to work with a blend of competitors you will not experience the challenge. The modified and highly prepped cars have...

Re: Event Format, going forward.

Anthony, then I would amend my request to "no non points cardholders in the first group". Looking at the event data that you have compiled is detailing "dnf's and cone counts", but attributed to who? When Lenard is asking for first run instructors I do not remember seeing mention...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?

Let's ask if and how many people want to even take advantage of "fun runs", or was this taken on as an additional reward for a 13 event season?

Event Format, going forward.

I would like to add to the mix a request that 600 numbered cars not run in the first run group. Having them out of the first group allows for a larger pool of instructors that are not being asked to give up their class runs for points. It also will limit the time differential of runs between point c...

Re: When do Juniors run on Sunday?

When making changes to long standing business practices please understand the unintended consequences will have lots of logistical impact. In this case, junior karting is a family event. With family involved logistics. I am very lucky that my wife is signed on, wait for the "but", to what ...

Think of this as a vintage car meet and driving school

Just in case something different is on your bucket list, you might enjoy trying this. I will be attending this gathering for the fourth year and have grown to appreciate the opportunity to put a pass on the cars that my dad worked on and raced, what is now, a long time ago. Let me know if you have an...

Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

A few questions:

The FJ karts run when?

Two driver cars will not get X runs in their run group, but can they in another group?

Are we done with "TO"?

How are we going to administer the "X" runs based on "no cash payment"?

Thanks.

Children under 12 riding in a car at an event.

This weekend I had the opportunity of sharing a number of laps on Sunday with my son Samuel. Having turned 12 in August this event was the first time my run group ran after the kids run, just after lunch. That said I was sitting in line waiting our turn to make that first father/son lap when I reali...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

Again, thank you to those getting this through the process. But looking at the first post, do we have an end date that wraps up the process? Is there any agreement on any of the suggestions? Is there a agreement on the term board term limits? Will it not allow people from running for another board s...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

Change, like making sausage is never easy or fun. But I would like to thank those who have take on this task and I commend this effort. My tenure with this group started in 1988 co-driving a Honda CRXsi built by Oscar Jackson for Jeanie Ross. I had met Jeanie while living in Northern California and ...

Cal Club Time Trials, you might want to give it a try..

Not that we need one more opportunity to melt tires off our cars, but man this was fun. Full disclosure, the car I might have been driving could have had run flats. Sort of wide ones that, as I was only attending a Time Trials, they might have picked up enough "OPR" to protect them from ad...

Kai,

I have had a family event replace my attendance at the Sunday event, I will be on site Saturday.

That means I will not be available to work tech on that first Sunday slot.

Expanding CAM-S, who do I need to ask?

New year, new quest. With San Diego being one of the origination points of this series I though this event might be a good place to offer a change. First, I understand that the "A" is to denote American. Next, technically BMW's made in South Carolina are not American, but... My request to ...
