He requested this months ago during a Board meeting and the Board decided it was reasonable to grant an exception for it.

Congrats on another stellar performance Brian. You're amazing!

Just wondering is this qualifies for an average since it's not SCCA related?

Doug, I understand your points and agree. Unfortunately there's nothing we can do to make everyone happy, so the best alternative is adding the drop. Mike Actually, the best alternative is a two day practice. Why would the board even entertain a situation the purposely disadvantages those like Doug...

Schedule of Events

I'm looking to get back autox'ing pending medical approval in May, but the schedule looks just a bit sparse. What's up?

Stolen Truck, Race Wheels, Tools and Parts

Hi Gang. On December 6, 2018, my truck was stolen and the contents stripped. Most of the tools were pretty generic. However my Formula Ford wheels, Hoosier tires, and Formula Ford parts are pretty unique and will be hard to sell since the audience is so small. So, please be on the lookout for my whe...

San Diego Match Tour

Did you notice this in the San Diego Match Tour flier? "All events must have 120 entrants 2 weeks prior to the event." I did too. Two weeks prior the entries totaled about 100. It now stands at 110. I called today and confirmed the event will proceed as scheduled despite the low entry count. If you ...

Sounds like a classic case of unbalanced washing machine syndrome. Consult Kowalski's Machine Shop. He has much experience with cars breaking and shaking up.

Crow's Landing Average Requests - April 15

Per our supp regs, those attending certain conflicting events may request their average. Although listing your name here does not meet the letter of section 7.3.5, the Solo Board has agreed to accepted requests made online for this event. If you would like your average, list your name and points car...

The product you're looking for is Double Reflective Polyethylene and is available here. This is also available through hvac suppliers. I will check my cost for the product. If it's substantially less expensive, I'll let you know.

Re: How to tell which group is running?

I still think this is a non-issue. We almost never are waiting for either cars or workers anymore and worker no-shows are extremely rare. Improving PA communications would make the events better for competitors in all areas, what's going on in the group running and change over. Completely agree wit...

Re: How to tell which group is running?

But it's been down during some time for each of the last few events. In addition people don't have memorized what classes run when. Like differentiating between group 2 and 3 etc. When the groups run is listed on the top of the results. Knowing human nature, something that happens automatically is ...

Re: How to tell which group is running?

Assuming live timing is now repaired and will work moving forward, wouldn't that be as good as any form of notification? It is automatic, doesn't required any additional outside inputs, and doesn't rely on someone remembering to perform additional task(s). It's the KISS method.

Umm, does that mean the entirety of the original post is invalid, or that getting someone experienced to ride along is "fat chance, fat boy." I was told that being a noob passenger with a vet driving would be unlikely on Sundays. To my eyes Randy just posted something similar to George's original p...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?

Just tossing out a wild idea which hasnt been thoroughly tested. We could have 3 runs in the am for a lower cost and a second session in the afternoon like the practice or x runs for an additional cost. That way those competing wouldnt have to stay and those just wanting practice could come in the ...
