San Diego Match Tour
Did you notice this in the San Diego Match Tour flier? "All events must have 120 entrants 2 weeks prior to the event." I did too. Two weeks prior the entries totaled about 100. It now stands at 110. I called today and confirmed the event will proceed as scheduled despite the low entry coun...

Sounds like a classic case of unbalanced washing machine syndrome. Consult Kowalski's Machine Shop. He has much experience with cars breaking and shaking up.

Whoo Hoo! The PRO Solo is Here!
If you've competed in a PRO SOLO in the past.........no need to read on.........there's nothing for you here. You've already marked your calendar and are planning on registering in the next few days if you haven't already. But if you're NEW to auto , or have been autox'ing but have NEVER entered a ...

Crow's Landing Average Requests - April 15
Per our supp regs, those attending certain conflicting events may request their average. Although listing your name here does not meet the letter of section 7.3.5, the Solo Board has agreed to accepted requests made online for this event. If you would like your average, list your name and points car...

The product you're looking for is Double Reflective Polyethylene and is available here. This is also available through hvac suppliers. I will check my cost for the product. If it's substantially less expensive, I'll let you know.

Re: How to tell which group is running?
I still think this is a non-issue. We almost never are waiting for either cars or workers anymore and worker no-shows are extremely rare. Improving PA communications would make the events better for competitors in all areas, what's going on in the group running and change over. Completely agree wit...

Re: How to tell which group is running?
But it's been down during some time for each of the last few events. In addition people don't have memorized what classes run when. Like differentiating between group 2 and 3 etc. When the groups run is listed on the top of the results. Knowing human nature, something that happens automatically is ...

Re: How to tell which group is running?
Assuming live timing is now repaired and will work moving forward, wouldn't that be as good as any form of notification? It is automatic, doesn't required any additional outside inputs, and doesn't rely on someone remembering to perform additional task(s). It's the KISS method.

Re: Why Get Your Start at Autocross Sunday?
Umm, does that mean the entirety of the original post is invalid, or that getting someone experienced to ride along is "fat chance, fat boy." I was told that being a noob passenger with a vet driving would be unlikely on Sundays. To my eyes Randy just posted something similar to George's ...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
Just tossing out a wild idea which hasnt been thoroughly tested. We could have 3 runs in the am for a lower cost and a second session in the afternoon like the practice or x runs for an additional cost. That way those competing wouldnt have to stay and those just wanting practice could come in the ...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
Excellent feedback Danielle. You're perspective is very important as you are exactly the type of competitor I know we'll lose the first time you have to wait until 1pm or even later to get your four runs or complete your work assignment. I have a question for you. If we cut back to three runs on Sun...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
Money gain though increasing attendance would provide more money and value to the region than the sales of X-runs, as the fees per person are higher and the participant adds to the overall worker pool thus easing work load for the event. Sean, I completely agree. I hope this doesn't make you change...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
Give it a rest George.... Gesh..... And even mentioning 3 runs in a dying region with consistently less than 125 entrants should immediately lead to some dire punishment like being forced to run your CM car covered in I'mWithHer bumper stickers. Average number of entries in 2017 was 155 with a medi...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
and to follow up on the original point of this thread. the entire poll is flawed. My intent was to stimulate debate and to hear various points of view. I think it's working. We already know that people have no problem showing up for 12 hours for an autox, they do it every saturday (of race weekend)...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
I was happy to be out by 1:30 at the last event. I would be happy with that and as the poll reflected, most were. But there were only 117 people there, an unusually light crowd. The problem as I see it Adam, is that some people will not want to devote all day to get four runs in. I won't. If I see ...

I would also like to see a keep "the December format option with fun runs". I find that not including it shows your personal bias and doesn't leave a possible choice And the poll question you proudly wave wasn't biased. If it had said, "Would you like to see the December format used ...

Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?
What is the deal with the last poll option?: "Cut back to three runs to reduce the overall time commitment and keep the December format" Was there a motion to move runs to 3 vs 4 for the half day format? I know I got 4 runs in December. From my understanding, we generally cut runs to 3 wh...

Membership Poll...How long is too long?
For the December's Autocross Sunday, Cal Club Autocross tried a new format utilizing two grids and worker changes on the fly in an effort to reduce overall time of the event. Registration and tech closed at 9am. The course closed for walking at 8:20am. There was no lunch break for those running late...
