Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!
The non-US transmission is the bigger issue, I think.
Seems like the car would be legal for SSM. Of course, anybody running there competitively would be running Hoosiers...

Re: Setup for Laura’s M2
The Nationals winning FS e90 M3 was on a square 265 set-up.
I think I remember the fast 1M also ran a square set-up?
That seems like a pretty good place to start...

Re: Heritage Classic Street ,on a local note.
The fronts are “coilovers” from the factory. The rears are not, if memory serves. So you get to use half the good kit! Maybe even 3/4. You just need to do math, and buy the right spring rate rear springs to go with the setup you buy. :-). Somebody out there in Bimmerland knows the answer to that que...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!
Can you guys confirm my reading of Appendix A?
2016 Jaguar F-Type R
AS shows F-Type Noc
SS shows F-Type R & SVR (2018)
So a 2018 R is in SS but a 2016 R is in AS. Right?
Based on how the years are handled in parentheses on other combined lines.

Thanks Eric!
Hoping for a Sunday ride, and I know management prefers to keep multi drivers to 2 per run group.
If I make it over on Saturday, I’ll try to look you up and see if I can’t help you out.

Re: Wider car setup
Multiple factors, but the simple math is wider track = longer lever on the suspension geometry = softer "spring rate" = more grip.
So if you want it to rotate more, and the only adjustment you have is to widen one end, widen the front.

Re: Questions on registering for an Autocross and classes
It seems like the Meyers Manx used to be specifically listed somewhere, but I don't see it listed anywhere in the current SCCA rules. However, "dune buggies" are allowed in BMod, assuming it doesn't exceed other rules about Aero and it's not turbocharged, that's where it would fall in SCCA...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!
Hey Julian, You probably want to run our local-only CST class. It basically allows anything street-legal on "street" tires. If you provide more detail on a couple of items, we can confirm which SCCA national class you would be in. But, I suspect the answer is SM (Street Modified). Specific...

Plus Cypress College, Saddleback College, the Shelby parking lot, College of the Canyons, and Cal Poly Pomona. And of course Lion Country Safari (Verizon Amphitheater). All of those lots except Lion Country would not be SCCA legal these days due to size and obstacles. Many many more. My first event...

Depends on your tires.
CSM if treadwear is <140
CST if treadwear is = or >140

The Toyos are 140 tread wear which Is legal in CST.
If they were less than 140 you'd be in CSP.

Sign up to work Gate Sunday morning 4/24
As Chief of Gate I get to poach a couple of workers for early morning Gate duty Sunday. This counts as your work assignment for the day. Get it over with first thing and then have the rest of the day to kick back, relax and have fun. We need 3 Gate workers on Sunday morning to work from 6:45 to 8:45...
