Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

This is a welcome move. When I started Solo here in 1998, there was a requirement that I be affiliated with one of the autocross clubs. I had just joined the SCCA and I could never understand what the purpose of a club-within-a-club was supposed to be. For several years I made an effort to be involv...

FREE Seat

Brand new: Fully-covered / partially padded Caliba 250cc Super Kart seat. It's somewhat small, fits drivers (estimated) 110 - 130 lbs. Weighs approximately 10 lbs., made from self-supporting ridgid fiberglass. This #@^! seat has been cluttering up my life for over seven years, it's too big to ship e...

Re: FS: '08 Tony Kart / '09 F-125 National Champion Honda CR

Yeah, "Ground Hugging Weight", like the pre-war Indy Cars. HAHAHA!

In this kart's case, it's all about power-to-weight ratio. You can afford to lose a little in turns to weight, as long as you're making it up elsewhere...

Re: FS: '08 Tony Kart / '09 F-125 National Champion Honda CR

At 6'4", this kart would need to be specifically set up for you, with the correct seat and original Tony Kart porch extension. With that you would be as comfortable as anybody, but you'd still be coming in ~ 40 lbs overweight. But, the motor is pretty strong... :) Tom Harrington was an honest 6'4" a...

Re: FS: '08 Tony Kart / '09 F-125 National Champion Honda CR

I am 6'1" / 190 lbs, driver who won Nationals is 5'10" / 155 lbs.

Kart weighs 199 lbs dry without driver. Driver + kart must weigh-in at 405 lbs using this engine configuration. If you are underweight it's made up by bolting lead weight to the kart.
