Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

I really don't think the cashless is any big deal. In the very rare situation where a person only has cash at the event and no card, I'm sure we can find somebody willing to take cash and whip out a card. Find me. I'll take your cash and use my wife's card. ;)

Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

I've done announcer AND starter before at the same time. Can be done either with wireless mic at the starting line or by telling the driver when to go over the PA from inside where you can set reset the clocks if needed.

Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

Back to the SSS perspective. No course workers means ONE car on course at a time. No exceptions. And again I point out, anytime your course is not fully staffed you need somebody who has access to a vehicle or scooter or something who can get a fire bottle out for an incident. We can, and have done ...

https://youtu.be/t-Mi59rEyBQ Robert Ekstrand JA on Sunday 68.768 He had just called for mom to drop air pressure because he was washing out in the showcase turnaround. He was targeting a 67.5 to try to take TTOD set by Jason Swindel in his CM Formula Ford. He over corrected that turn and scrubbed of...

Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

Anytime you run without on course workers, we should have a plan in place for a vehicle/scooter that can quickly get a fire bottle out to an on course incident.

Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

First at the moment, but Steve Ekstrand had some other ideas that may work to better. I'll talk again with him this weekend. His other Idea was to put them in a separate grid just like we do now by the motorhome and have them run like nationals with time inbetween for gearing changes and discussion...

Re: Junior program? Contact?

We no longer do Junior Orientations. New kids might get pulled out to demonstrate or be instructed in certain skills for safety. But we no longer have the room for separate course areas and the liability climate in Junior Karts is so severe right now that offering a public come out and try with our ...

Re: Junior program? Contact?

He would need all the equipment. We aren't like an indoor karting place where everything is provided. I'd suggest coming out to watch and learning more about what is involved. I'd be happy to answer any questions here though.

Re: Children under 12 riding in a car at an event.

2016 or 2017. Robert wrote a letter to the SEB supporting the idea when he was 11 (and 64"). They passed it, but it didn't go into effect until he was already 12.

Just wanted to point out that the 91 trailing arms supercede in the parts book so you can use them on an 89-90. Sorry... Still no help on the CRX question. :(

Re: 15x7.5 wheels

I thought that was a 35mm rim? 35mm put you into the fender with a Civie. I'm surprised they say it works. Maybe with a narrow 195 tire and a lot of camber or a high ride height. For STS you'd get a lot of rubbing I'd think. The wheel just sticks out too far. And you can't run negative spacers. Some...

Nice job guys! These great events can't happen without hard work and reality is a few really pull the extra work to make it happen. I wish it was more hands, but still I was impressed with the clean-up turnout. I brought Robert back at the end to help stack cones and load in the mom van. I want him ...

Both the Honda GX50 and the Comer 50/51 are legal for JC now.

And if getting a fresh start... I highly recommend the Honda!!!
