Re: Long Beach Grand Prix

Does anybody actually think the region would intentionally schedule on the LBGP? CalClub provides workers. We will have several members who must attend. Generally, two weekends in April are SCCA National events on the West Coast. Generally, San Diego is going to have a local April event. Venues typi...

Re: Can I run Novice? Tire suggestions

Sweet new ride! Like so not a Dodge Omni derivative.

Sure seems like 295 square would work, but I'd want that confirmed by somebody with specific Camaro knowledge. Maybe the Wong's know?

Re: New to the area, been around the cones once or twice..

The modern world is divided between SCNAX and CASOC with others claiming to be clubs as well. You're not old enough for GRA or Morgan+4 although both have a ton of history and some members you will want to know. PSCC has sort of died off again, which is sad because that was not only a club dating ba...

Re: Important Change to El Toro Entrance

Your friend Randy Gonzalez posted: FYI (Since some of you haven't been to our El Toro lot in a while): The Alton gate to El Toro is closed. The proper way in is: Off the 5 at Sand Canyon. Take Marine Way in (like we did years ago, but it's a finished street with curbs now). Turn left at the light on...

Re: Course Setup for May 5-6

Hey Reed! Any chance you have a course map for this weekend you can email me?

It doesn't have to be detailed or exact. The JDP program requires a map to each kid so we can highlight safety concerns and course boundaries not for memorizing course.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Minor Waver and bring a guest to the Pro at Fontana?

I think we are missing the issue. I don't think a minor spectator can be in a hot area. I think you need to be a driver, passenger, or worker. Otherwise, you have to stay in the spectator areas or paddock. Impound for junior karts would be okay. My take is that no waiver is necessary. But he won't b...

Re: Minor Waver and bring a guest to the Pro at Fontana?

I don't even know what that form looks like? He's not driving. Don't we have free temps for passengers and such? The whole requirement for having a membership is new to me just for being in a hot area. We don't do that for adults.

Re: Minor Waver and bring a guest to the Pro at Fontana?

Offsite/Onsite is irrelevant. David is okay as an SCCA Official. Under 12 Waivers not needed. Can't go into grid area. 12 or over no waiver needed if not going to hot area. If you want to go into hot area like between the lanes at a pro, then both parents sign in front of David and we need them to g...

Re: Junior Kart, 2002 Renspeed

This kart can work in either JB or JA with just the quick and easy removal of the restrictor. So, that covers kidlets age 8 thru 17. Between seat changes and pedal adjustments it should work for nearly any size person. And adult can have a lot of fun in this combination. There is an adult wheel to w...
