Re: New $5 Dollar Bill

now if they changed that "five dollars" at the bottom to "one unit of gasoline", that would work even better.

or maybe they can reprint these:

Re: No$ Championship Preregistration

i think you guys are missing the point. my point was that we use it to practice technique in various situations and NOT for the tracks. i'm sure i don't have to tell you that technique is applicable on ANY track, be it autocross or road course. with that said, there is nothing that can replace actua...

Re: No$ Championship Preregistration

well, okay. but i will say that it did help my driver polish her skills and finish 2nd in class last season. she also took two 1st's at the double regional this past weekend, running far better times than she did previously at california speedway. all while practicing technique and driving lines on ...

Driving Sims and YOU

yeah, i saw that from the event calendar. i do have an SCCA membership, so that's not a problem. just debating on whether or not i want 3 runs to make up for 3 years of not being behind the wheel. Well zero runs sure isn't going to get you anywhere. No time like the present (or Sunday at least). Ja...

Re: No$ Championship Preregistration

i appreciate that sentiment, but it has nothing to do with the car at all, but rather the lack of Q&A with the "instructor". the last time i did this, the person who drove was more interested in seat time than anything else; no constructive critcism, nothing. anyhow, that's not the poi...

Re: No$ Championship Preregistration

Well you can also do "X" runs, and also during your competition runs (before your X-runs) you can a 4th run by having an instructor drive your lap while you ride shotgun. i've thought about doing that. i'm not very keen on having someone else drive my car while i'm trying to improve my dr...

Re: No$ Championship Preregistration

not a points card holder, so can't register online. It also will cost you $5 more, but as long as you're an SCCA member (or will get the weekend SCCA temporary membership, you should be fine). yeah, i saw that from the event calendar. i do have an SCCA membership, so that's not a problem. just deba...

Re: First Job

my first job was way back when i was 18, in 1985. worked as a cashier at a drive-in theater swap meet. i'd occasionally work in the snack bar and on some evenings, work the theater itself. didn't pay much; i think minimum back then was something like $3.15 or so. i did get to eat free and get free a...

I've been craving a good hot dog for like 8 months. What's a good place to get one? Pinks in LA, or if you like chili dogs, there's always Tommy's. Closest Tommy's to Redlands is probably Corona. there is also a tommy's off of the 15, just south of the 91. there is an in-n-out right across the stre...
