Re: Potential CoDrive Request, for a friend
I'll be there on Sunday, and I should be I running in the second group. I'm running HS, though I'm currently listed in an incorrect class (DS). If your friend is a patient man, I'd be happy to let him flog my car. Why do I suggest that he's patient? My car is a bone stock 2016 Mazda 3 (with the 2.0,...

Did anything ever pan out with Santa Anita? I'm thinking since their horse racing events are now in question, they might be REALLY amenable to renting their lots out.

I can't swing another car right now, but I need a ride at the Feb. event, so if AnD terms are in line, I'd love to play with your baby.

I'm about to sign Maddie up for the school. I haven't heard back from anyone about me instructing. Are you guys all set for instructors? I really want someone else to instruct Maddie (she doesn't listen to me )

Sorry, I don't get to the forums very often anymore. They're yours, Nic. I can't make this event, but plan to come to the next one.

Free: Mini JCW springs for R56
Cleaning out the garage and since I no longer have a Mini, I no longer need the JCW springs I bought and had mounted. Anybody want them before I just toss them? They're OEM BMW parts, and as I said, they've been mounted once.

I would be interested in "shadowing" whoever does course so I'm better prepared for another time around. Or if there is just an information packet I can read over for future reference. Volunteer for course setup on Fri. once or twice. You'll learn a lot and you can pick the designer's bra...

Re: Pro Solo questions
I HIGHLY recommend doing the Evo Hole Shot. It basically runs you through what happens during the event (it's complicated and happens really quickly) and you get practice starts which basically makes it worth it right there.

Re: Wheel sizes in F Street
I started out with a G35 sedan. it was totally uncompetitive, but a lot of fun! Taught me a lot about throttle control. My advice, given my first experience, is spend year or so learning to drive what you're driving and don't spend an extra cent, other than tires. Then buy something that you can bui...

Re: Will we run in the rain 2/18 & 2/19?
Can you care to elaborate a bit more on that? Racing in the rain is statistically slower than in the dry, so doesn't it act as a handicap? Speed has less to do w/ it than the car control skills required at the limit. The rain is less forgiving to "sloppy" driving. It also helps that it's ...

Got an Open Seat?
I just found out my co-driver will be taking an extended break from autocross, so I figured I'd post and see if anyone has an open co-drive seat and find out which limbs I'd have to sell to afford it. Email is the best way to get ahold of me: kurtrahn at publicworksinc dot org.
