Re: Minter Airfield with Fresno SCCA

I haven't got any official word yet, but I think the Fresno event might be cancelled. For clarity's sake, the break-even point would have been about 75 people. Could be possible to do 4 timed runs, then 8 practice runs, with a practice price at 85 a person. I dont know the costs but generally with ...

Re: "New" Autocross Family Inbound

Welcome!! you are among friends. We have a "practice" along with each event, so there is a potential for 20+ runs for a weekend with our typical 13 event lineup plus nearby national events. Hopefully the Jr kart families will chime in soon, if not, we run Jr Karts first at our events on Sunday and y...

Re: Minter Airfield with Fresno SCCA

Has anyone contacted Kern County Raceway Part? The whole infield of the oval is paved. The area might be a bit small, I count 26 semi truck parking spots on the short side. But I think it would be similar to PIR Pro Pits that the Oregon Region used to run in, not sure if they still run at PIR. The ...

Re: Minter Airfield with Fresno SCCA

I just got word that Fresno's chapter has secured their first official event at Minter Airfield on March 9th/10th. I know it's late breaking, but odd that I'm not seeing discussion of this on Fresno SCCA AX forum, nor has it made their schedule. Super special direct vice chair to vice chair acknowl...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!

Is there a benefit for choosing one or the other (STR vs CST), I'm assuming you can only be part of one? You can compete in one per race, but it's best to choose to compete in the same class for the year typically. As the year goes on more competitors meet each and often offer help in a myriad of w...

Re: What time can I expect to be done?

It's too late for this event, but for those in need of leaving early and arent afraid of showing up early. Working registration, early gate, tech, or course change over saturday night are a few options as well

Re: Car Classification Help

Well you get 3 drops for a season, so it does give you time to evaluate options. I think either CST may end up being course dependent, and you could just find some guys to run CSM together. You'll have a much better idea in January and yes Re71 in that size will be faster than V720's.

Re: Car Classification Help

Hi Aaron, Glad to see your giving us a try! Please make sure the passenger front wheel bearing was tightened. I concur with Mike that CST is a far more popular class and that csm is a place for Hoosiers. You could get a few other people who are similar in raw time to compete with you since an...

Doubtful, I see 83 entries which I would think is the max with limited daylight, but contact Randy, he's the event chair.
There Are 73 entries as of today. The inventory item is inclusive of all options.

Looking for course setup help for December

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for up to 3 volunteers to help setup course at aaa this Friday. Preferably around noon.

I'm also happy to share what I look for in making course elements if you have been curious about what goes into making course.

1) Yes, Friday.
2) Anytime is good, ill probably arrive around 1pm or earlier if I can.
3) Typically its only the rare times when the lot is rented that we have an issue. Email is out to Randy, but we are probably good.

Re: Proposed CST pax modifier adjustment

it was designed as a local catch-all single class. Make the rule set the same for both CST and CSST, but split the two based on the weight of the car perhaps. I'm not sure where the cut off would be exactly, maybe 2400lbs or something around there. CST is not a real SCCA class and doesn't need to b...

Re: Proposed CST pax modifier adjustment

How about the pax is actually correct. The rule aside from street tires is that is has to be "capable" of being registered, so want I see some active areo sucker cars that weight 800lbs. If someone really took advantage of the rules I think the pax would make more sense. In any case its not an scca ...
