Looking for a 2022 ride

Well, it looks the like engine will be out of the Rx-8 for 2022 as it is in need of a rebuild, so I'm hoping to find a drive for 2022. Happy to just come with tires and do my best to keep them warm and I do still have the trailer for transportation to far away events and if wanted I would gladly hel...

Re: Tentative COVID-19 Guidelines Starting June 20th

Any idea on when minors may be allowed at the autocross events again? I know this is probably a pointless question since I'm sure there's no definitive answer yet. But I'm planning on attending the May event, and hope that I can bring my 13 yo daughter, as she's been dying to come and ride shotgun....

Re: Supplementary Classes in Local PAX Class

I'm late to the party... but as a Pax competitor I want the current rules to remain, which don't include supplementary classes. CAM guys don't want a national class, then, well, ok this is a consequence of that. XS is so new with the Pax jumping around like water in acid, is less than ideal for incl...

Yeah, I think you'll need to PM Rick Brown for those. In 2017 we moved to results.solo2.com. I don't think is old server is running, but I'm pretty sure he has them.

I'm actually in town this year.
Looks like I'll miss Nov 15th, though, hurt my hand putting in a transmission seal.
Another unfortunate consequence of Covid-19, there is no school this year.

Re: XS ruleset

working from a basic definition of perimeter, a perimeter is a path that encompasses/surrounds a two-dimensional shape; my personal opinion is that "must not extend past the perimeter of the original body" means that if the wing is changing the shape of the perimeter of the original body ...

Re: XS ruleset

Thanks for the interpretation Anthony. Seems way more beneficial than the way I was looking at it. Reguarding a "spoiler" (maximum allowed) End plates are allowed: no size restriction. (does not say wing/spoiler specifically) Could I add very large end plates to the sides of the spoiler t...

I don't see your wording in the rule. I see it being defined by the term body.

Overall width afaik is 68.3" including mirrors its about 74".

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!

Hi there! I signed up for the Auto-X coming up in a couple weeks. I'm SUPER excited! This will be my first time, and I wanted to confirm the class for my 2017 Focus RS. Here is a list of relevant mods: - Wheels (18x9 vs stock 19x8) (running standard treadwear 300 tires) - Intake & exhaust (stoc...

Re: Guidance Going Into 2nd Event

Yeah, really what Reed said helps. Also, walking course a few times is also beneficial. The goal would be to understand generally where the course goes and to know where the important spots are. As you come out more and more it will get easier to "read" the course. If you want a head start...

2021 looking for an open seat.

I'm looking at possibly moving the miata to a time trial car, so I'm hoping to find an autocross ride for 2021.

Will happily contribute tires. Can also offer coaching, towing, or wrenching help if that provides value to you.
