Please see ad here: https://ventura.craigslist.org/wto/6193038374.html I found these on Craigslist 5 years or so ago. They were and are still are very clean so I had to have them. Never used them in the time I owned them and now looking to clear some space in my shed. The thing is I have them at my ...

Re: ES Build for a 99 Miata

I couldn't find it in the Street Category of the regs, but I remember that it is or was allowed that a California car can be converted to Federal car. For my 99 model year, I believe this means I can swap the CA exhaust manifold which has an integrated catalytic converter with a Federal exhaust mani...

Re: ES Build for a 99 Miata

Craig, Where can I get a build sheet?

Who can confirm about the A/C removal on a 99 Miata that came with the Leather package and PEP?

Thank you

Re: ES Build for a 99 Miata

Ok, I think I got this mostly figured out. Under "Leather Pkg - Manual transmission," it states: "Includes: [1PE] Popular Equip Pkg - Manual transmission And [1RA] Bose Audio System" So I must keep the Bose and the PEP if I want to keep the leather interior. The PEP includes: &qu...

Re: ES Build for a 99 Miata

Thanks for your inputs Jayson. Velcroed ipod....I like that idea! My understanding is that if air conditioning is standard equipment, then it cannot be removed for street or street touring classes. It can be removed in street prepared. On the 99 miata, A/C is an option and it doesn't seem to be part...

Re: ES Build for a 99 Miata

I am not sure how far I want to go with this, but I thought it would be fun to see what my options are on my 99 miata as far as weight reduction in ES: http://www.motortrend.com/cars/1999/mazda/miata/packages_options/ My car has the: Leather Pkg - Manual Transmission Popular Equip Pkg - Manual Trans...

I got the Mazda Contingency twice last year. This requirement excludes Solo. You just need pictures of your car to prove you had the required Mazda decals and proper placement.

FS: Mazda Millenia Wheels 16x6.5 5x114.3 67.1CB +55

They are supposed to be relatively light, I think 13 or 14 lbs. I bought these from Morgan Trotter. He had them professionally blasted and painted black (not powder coated) so it should be easy to strip and repaint them. The tires (205/45R16) are still on them, but they are corded. What are they wor...

We need more E-street competitors at the San Diego Tour.

Come on guys! San Diego is only a short drive for a national level event. Don't be intimidated, there is very little difference if any in atmosphere between a national tour and a regional event. Please sign up.

Re: ES Build for a 99 Miata -need swaybar and damper suggest

I am taliking about this hardware mount reinforcement: http://www.racingbeat.com/Miata-1990-2005/Sway-Bars/54122.html I believe they are legal and they are very necessary or else the factory mounts will break. Do I need to get these too: http://www.racingbeat.com/Miata-1990-2005/Suspension-Component...

Re: ES Build for a 99 Miata -need swaybar and damper suggest

That is what I have looked at so far. The Koni 2812LB and the RB 1.125 tubular bar, RB endlinks, and the RB swaybar reinforcement mount. I am still looking for pricing information on the 2812LB. For single adjustables, is there anything to look at besides revalved Bilsteins HD or Sport, and revalved...

Which front anti-swaybar and which dampers are recommended for a national competitive ES build? I would like to consider double adjustables too. Thanks.

Max, I may be able to help you out. I have brand new 225/45r15 rivals sitting in my garage. I have plans for them on my project car, but they aren't urgent plans. So if you would like to pay what I paid for them (including the shipping) then they can be yours. I bought them in the summer time. I onl...

FS: HS prepped 2005 Mazda3s - $6k

I am putting my HS Mazda3s with the NA 2.3L 5speed up for sale on craigslist soon, but I thought I would give first dibs to the solo community. It is a great fwd training car for the beginner soloist. It is also good for those who are looking for a single reliable car that can do both daily driving ...

need a 225/45R15 Hoosier for a test fit

I am looking for at least 1 225/45R15 Hoosier A6, A7, R6, or R7 for a test fit. If the tire(s) are done, I will take them off your hands. If they are still good and they are a set of A6 or A7, name your price. Thanks.
