FS: Two 275/35/18 Hankook RS3s, scrubbed in
I have a pair of practically brand new 275/35/18 Hankook RS3s. They have 240 highway miles on them and 11 laps at Buttonwillow. They are just scrubbed in. The shallow flames molded into the tread are still plainly visible.
Asking $400 OBO for the pair.

Re: Trying to figure out shock valving
Steve I'm not exactly sure what shocks I have since they are H&R Bilsteins, I know Bilstein has worked on them in the past but beyond that I'm not sure. They did stamp a number into the rear shocks but I didn't mark it down, I do know the shocks are sealed so there very difficult to work on wit...

Re: Trying to figure out shock valving
I assembled my first set of Bilsteins and am currently designing and building a shock dyno, so this is fresh on my mind. What do you mean by "19 lb in/sec"? Do you mean 19 lbs per in/sec? Is that rebound or compression damping? Is it purely linear or is there some digression to a lower dam...

WTB CG Lock (or similar device), before the weekend
Need a CG-Lock or similar seat-belt locking device before this weekend. Anyone have one they want to get rid of?
I know all the seat belt locking tricks already. This is for a car with double retractors and no inertial lock on the reel.

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!
SSM allows DOT-legal R-comps. If I have a vehicle prepared to SSM rules and I decide to run in our regional PAX class with street tires (140 treadwear or higher), do I get the street tire index modifier on top of the SSM index? Mississippi region apparently runs their street tire class with that for...

An event at Santa Anita would kick ass. Short drive for anyone in LA, and the lot is massive with no lamp posts. RoadKill screwed around there in the most recent episode, so at least they aren't totally opposed to it being used for purposes besides parking.

Re: Looking for books on advance engine theory
The Bosch Automotive Handbook is relatively easy to find and has some of what you're looking for. It doesn't focus on engines though; it's more of a general reference for modern automotive systems. Very handy reference though. What you really want is Introduction to Internal Combustion Engines by Ri...
Scales
I'm sending out my Konis to be revalved for new spring rates and I don't have any recent corner weights from my Fiero to calculate the damping curves from.
Does anyone have some scales I could borrow/rent? I'm in the Pasadena area.
Thanks!

Re: catalytic Converters
Even though it's OBD I the code number would still be useful to know. What number is it? Most codes can easily be ruled out as being related to the cats. If you haven't checked the code, you don't need a scanner, just connect a jumper between the A and B pins on the ALDL connector, then turn the ign...

Multiple entries, same car
Are multiple entries for the same car allowed for practices and points events? I saw the split entry option when registering for practice, but my car's other driver would like to have her own set of runs. Does she just need to make a separate entry? How do run groups and run tags work when a car is ...
