Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

(fun runs are contingent upon a minimum of 10 people participating) I hope that's 10 per group, otherwise there would not be enough workers. I realize as "fun runs" we don't need as many, but 5 wouldn't cut it, 10 is half what we usually have as a minimum. These are fun runs, we can cover...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

If I'm not mistaken, for what it's worth, with effectively only 2 clubs that have real voting impact, only one club has to be present and vote and a motion will carry. Nobody else will have any input if the opportunity is missed. In a way, there is already an imbalance of power. It would seem that ...

Re: 2017 Novice School and Practice - November 25-26

I am looking to attend, is there anyone in SGV that would be willing to "tech" my car so I can prepare it for the school? I will come to you on your schedule of course! :D In general, pre-teching isn't necessary. All depends on the car, a newer car with little or no modifications it's ver...

Revised Entrance for 10-22 Event

The speedway wants us to use an alternate entrance for Sunday only (Saturday use the main gate). We are to use Gate 7, which is off of San Bernardino Ave.
Also, here is the revised run/work order for Sunday. Groups 4 & 5 have been combined from previous version.

Big BIG Thank You to Tom Tanquary for the assist in getting the CustomTimingVehicle up to AAA Speedway. Especially since our "Two Hour Tour" took more like 3 1/2 hours. But it's done!

A Little Help Moving Our Motorhome

We are have trouble getting the usual suspects synchronized to get the Timing Motorhome moved from El Toro up to Auto Club Speedway for this weekend's event. I am able to drive it up mid-day, I just need someone who can bring me back. We will cover your gas. Text or call 949 two-four-four 5932 and w...

Re: Solo Spec Coupe Class

FYI, the upcoming new SCCA Solo Spec Coupe class (SSC & SSCL) is now available when registering for our events on MotorsportReg. However, we don't have a PAX index for it yet, so for now you'll get the STX PAX number since the cars are also eligible for that class.

Not correct. I'll try to get to it tonight. We didn't combine any groups at the last event, you will be running 1 group later than last time.

This was my second autocross event and I quite enjoyed the way the track was set up this time. Any timeline when results will be posted? Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

So glancing through the bylaws -- I assume there are only five votes, unless I've missed something. Given that, all the various minimums seem pretty awkward. 50% for one thing, 80% for another, 2/3 for something else. Jeez, there's only five votes. Do those numbers really make sense now? On another...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

I like the new proposal. It should allow for a more accurate representation of current (with the regular rotation) membership voices in leadership decisions. And with basically only 2 clubs doing the volunteering (event hosting) and heavy reliance on E-Board hosted events the current governance mod...
