Re: Heritage Classic Street ,on a local note.
That was a fun weekend and a relearning curve. The first half of Saturday went well, the afternoon started off with hard starting and the car lost it's edge. Sunday morning it would not hold an idle. I have to thank Robert Baltazar for finding the issue and providing the fix to get me into the event...

Heritage Classic Street ,on a local note.
Having proved that a locally prepared NA Miata is lots of fun, but the ship has sailed and I will leave the E Street class to those in the newer cars. So, for the time being I have the 1982 BMW 320 up and running. The car is smog legal, with current tags. The question will come up, why not FSP? The ...

Re: Minter Airfield with Fresno SCCA
Tony,
Will this event be "kid" friendly? Having access for the "FJ" karts will give the family's the ability to increase the car count and get seat time before Crows.

October 21st, any one need a tire warmer?
As it happens, I do not have a car to drive for the event. Anyone need a tire warmer?
I'll be easy to find, I'm the worker chief for the weekend.
Thank you.

Re: Heritage Classic Street(HCS) Rim size, what's legal?
And we have an answer from Doug Gill at the home office: Hi, Paul, I’m not the Solo Events Board, but I’ve intercepted your letter #25481 because the SEB does not maintain the Heritage Classic Rules. This is being done in-house here in the SCCA National office. When the rules says, “Any metallic whe...

Re: Heritage Classic Street(HCS) Rim size, what's legal?
Mike, Under HSC, this is it: Wheel and Tire Allowances • Any metallic wheels are allowed. • Any DOT‐approved tires with a UTQG Treadwear Grade of 200 or higher are permitted. Tires must also meet other requirements in Section 13.3 of the Solo rules. I submitted the attached for a clarification: Than...

Re: Heritage Classic Street(HCS) Rim size, what's legal?
So a rim wider than " same width as standard and as installed" would move the car to:
Heritage Class Race(HCR)
Wheel and Tire Allowances
• All DOT approved tires and race tires (non-DOT) are allowed.
• Wheel width is limited to a maximum of 8”.

Re: CST Tire Treadwear Rules Change
Are we trying to attract new participants? Driving cars that do not readily fit the rules we compete by opens an opportunity to increase our numbers when we allow people to drive what they already have. Might the line between CST and CSM need to be redrawn as 100 and above, or 99 or less. I have a 1...

Sept. 9th at Qualcom, BMWCCA event
Just in case you do not want to wait until the end of the month to run an event, the BMWCCA are hosting an event on the West lot of Qualcom. The details and registration are on MotorsportReg.com Just as a heads up, it's not a SCCA event. Leaving that hat at home. I go to these for the seat time. I a...

Re: CST Tire Treadwear Rules Change
I would second Bob's request to update the tire rating to 100. In my case Toyo RA1's. Being able to run the tires that I will be using on my refreshed NASA spec BMW lets me have seat time at an autocross on the combination that I will be driving on the track. This combination will not be as fast as ...

Rick, Where do I find the results from Saturday? If nothing else the weather was great. Watching the rain come down in what looked like water falls from the western side of the sierra's was amazing. At the track, we only had the odd sprinkle. Yes, it's not an autocross. More like a rally stage on a ...

Rick,
Per the registration flyer, the Jr karts run first thing on Sunday. It worked out great last event and I would like to keep it the same for future events.

2018 Lone Pine Time Trial, May 18-20
It's time, I'm going back. This event is a great way to transition from autocrossing to any number of events that having you shift into a gear beyond third. The lap is two miles, give or take. Bring lots of gas. I do remember that it can be sunshine at one end of the runway and rain at the other. On...
