Re: Spare bed in San Diego for the Tour
Max: We're staying at the La Quinta Poway. It's about 10-15 minutes up the 15 from Qualcomm. We don't really have extra room or bed, but we just made the reservation a couple days ago @ about $75 per night.

Re: Registration for the San Diego Tour - Hurry!
If you can't make it Friday, late registration and tech are available Saturday morning. Just for clarification... by registration George means check in on Sat. Though walks up registrations are taken on Friday at checkin (Times TDB but normally 4-6pm), if you show on Sat you must be pre-registered....

Re: Missing feature on new web site
I can't find how to email a member on the redesigned web site. All we needed was a name, or even partial name there and it would boolean search with what you typed. On the forum you actually need to know there screen name, which for many is not their actual name. Can we please have that function ba...

Re: New website!
it does look great! although, the menus are positioned underneath the youtube videos which makes seeing them and using them difficult! FYI - using IE11 It's not happening with mine on Windows 8.1. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there's a full menu you can use to navigate. There are s...

...If you aren't going to use an external mic, it looks like the Hero3 White Edition + Suction Cup Mount on amazon will run you about $230 total. If you're not picky about audio, that'll get the job done. If you are going to use an external mic, I recommend this one, it's what I use (with a 90 degr...
Re: Go Pro
I have both a Hero1 and Hero2. I got the Hero2 for the 3.5mm input to run an external mic. For the 3 and 3+, you need a $20 adapter to input it through the mini USB port. The 3 and 3+ have built in WiFi, while 1 and 2 need a seperate backing to enable it. I've heard using the WiFi will drain the ba...
Go Pro
Thinking about a purchase. It will probably be used exclusively for autocross. I'm casually aware of the differences in features among the "levels" of Go Pro. Just not sure which features I'll use or need.

Re: 2014 Street Classes
...putting drivers into highly competitive classes is a real opportunity for them to measure themselves against a variety of drivers, monitor their personal improvement, ask for driving instruction, and know that they've *earned* their event and year-end trophies. Ed. I have always had my mazdaspeed. Which by most accounts is not a competitive car in any form (although I have yet to see one in fp). That being said I have found that I can compete in several kinds of classes. Bsp, cst and now spc. I still have faith I can make it competitive nationally. Yes it...

Re: 2014 Street Classes
I should not have to remind folks, but I will... In 2011, when I came to Solo, E Stock was pretty much dead. Other classes may have been as well. Toward the end of 2011, a few of us got together with a plan. Without realizing it at the time, we created E Street before SCCA brought the idea to the fo...

So just hypothetically, if you could choose to have eight classes with one entry each, or a paxed class of eight...you would go for the individual classes? If you buy into that non-realistic example, then it's just a matter of where you choose to put the line. Bill, I understand perfectly where you...

Re: 2014 Street Classes
The consensus among the potential competitors as surveyed by the club reps was that they wanted the old class system (SK1, SK2) because they liked the competition. It was determined none of the classes could survive on their own and that separating the classes diluted the competition, which nobody ...
