Re: Membership Poll...How long is too long?

Most of the discussion of newbies has centered on millennial's and how to attract them. I think this is primary issue. We should instead be looking to increase our CAM entries. - This sub group has given new life to SD region in participation numbers, and consists primary of Gen-Xers. - This sub gro...

Re: New Miata

Welcome!!! Thank you for asking. We appreciate people who are considerate of the rules. Bar: no, as long as it is bolted vs welded in. Seats, technically yes, but no one is going to care on a local level. - if you were to one day compete at the national level, with trophy potential, it will matter.

Re: December Events Open for Registration - New Format for Sunday Championship

It will be interesting to see fun runs... as the money collector stands there with a devise to swipe a card for each run. - Hopefully are card services acct is on a straight % bases, and not a % plus fee per transaction. - May also increase our % rates, as it will pull down the per transaction avg. ...

Re: Value of home improvement

We've done some upgrades to our house. I'm trying to figure out what if any of the expense can be recovered as increased value of the house. For those of you with real estate experience, I'd appreciate some input. We've replaced about 2800 sq ft of grass with artificial grass - what if anything doe...

Re: Wider car setup

I'm a total newbie at this, but wouldn't making a car wider make slaloms and linked turns more difficult? I understand the CG would be lowered; and maybe that offsets the bigger steering inputs required. Anyways I always feel like my car is too big whether it's autocrossing, driving on the street, ...

Re: Children under 12 riding in a car at an event.

My guess it has to do with insurance, and the insurers perception of who would potentially not be properly secured in a seat belt in an incident. IMHO were lucky it's not a age, and weight, & height combo... - Thankfully they drew one line in the sand (now with an exceptionally for tall 11 &...

Hey Steve, Hope to see you back out here... Based upon this years National results, all STS cars were shod with either BFGoodrich GForce Rival's or Bridgestone RE71R's. 195/50/15 was the "chosen size" for many years due to lower unsprung weight, plus the cheater compound on the Toyo's....b...

We reached out to the entire membership via an email last week... I received no such email. I'm aware of the thread because I frequent the forum. How many others didn't receive the email? (understood it's an unanswerable question) Before you start with the whole "spam" folder thing, I own...

Re: Everybody - Please read - Club consolidation

Thank you all for your input. At this point, I'm not seeing anything that hints at us not moving forward with consolidation. There are some fine points that may need to be tweaked, but no reason not to proceed with this proposal. is that correct? - Seven day have passed since the post was made. - 3...

With same size wheels and tires would a wider track in the front or back give better rotation? On a fwd. Back when I was running the Integra in GS, I ran Kuhmo Victoracers in the front, and Falken Azenis - 215's (model not size) in the rear. Similar intent, where your looking at track, I played wit...

If its stated on the internet it must be true... Part 2 If no club steps up to host, seems the default is e-board. Again, not true. A board member (not club rep), with the support of another board member took the events from the clubs. Period. End of story. Clubs who wanted more than one event, were...

I looked at the SCCA classing rules but didn't find the C450. Does anyone know what class a bone stock Mercedes C450 falls under? It would fall under H Street under Mercedes NOC (Not otherwise classified). The c450 is a V6 turbo with 365HP. It'll have crazy advantage in HS. H Street would... except...
