Re: Can i run my Jeep GC SRT8 in an autocross event?
If anyone is really that interested, here's a paper on the federal history of rollover standards including the development of the SSF. Interestingly the official SSF is T/2H, where T is the track and H the CG height. So, yes, width is in the numerator and a higher result is a better result. What's ...

Look on the bright side. If you never were on top you don't have to ever worry about being a "has been"..

I had a friend who raced in a tuck class at Irwindale. It might be interesting to try running a Ford Lightning?

Re: GRA Championship Pics and Vids (10.24.10)
The Berry family has shown that's a good way to end up with a broken thumb. ;) I could have broken a thumb if I was going fast enough. ;) I caught him at the big sweeper and was following him right before the finish when I was clip boarded by Ron T. Rita and I volunteered to work the third group ho...

Re: October 24th GRA Championship & Practice
I remember I joined GRA back in O 6 because Guldstrand was the only name I was familiar with. (I own an old F-body and was always planning on bulding it for handling purposes some day.) Glad I did join GRA. At our monthly meetings we used to meet at Dick's shop and drool over all the cool customer c...

How about a push sweeper?
After pushing a broom at several events and watch others sweep up at Norton :unimpressed: I thought there has to be better way. :ibrightdea: http://www.nextag.com/push-sweeper/shop-html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I was also considering purchasing another leaf blower and...

You can't call your Z06 a "Z". There is only 1 "Z". Its a Datsun.
Z28's are not a "Z" either!

+1 on the impact gun. Make sure you have a good supply of air/pressure. If it is really tough, make sure you have a good impact gun. (SnapOn, Ingersol)

Just wondering if a Honda CRV AWD be ok in the stock class? Are there high center of gravity considerations?

Re: wrx -> shifter kart?
I would recommend going to a kart track during a practice event or race weekend and walk around the paddock. You will see how other people haul their karts around and might pick up some good ideas :ibrightdea: Someone may be selling thier rig so bring your checkbook. Also get a book on karting. Secr...

Re: wrx -> shifter kart?
I was thinking of getting a small enclosed trailer. You could haul multiple karts/gear and have a place to store it in when you get home. I have seen some at Home Depot.
Not sure what your towing capacity is on a Subi/hitch combo and what the gross wt. of the trailer is?

You don't technically need to attach your points card/number to a particular vehicle. It is your number. And besides, what did you drive before and what did you drive to the event in?

Re: wrx -> shifter kart?
so my buddy nick brought up the idea of getting a roof rack for either my wrx or his E36 and strapping the kart (when we get one) to the roof rack, rather than me selling my wrx and getting a half-ton pick up. Anyone have experience with this or opinions? apparently some people on ekartingnews do i...

Re: 8-15-10 Champ Videos/Photos
Surely, your beef should be with the SCCA for allowing ST Civics to run in STX. Wow, I missed a whole $hi&storm! I agree with Max. I think it's mighty whack for a car to be able to run in two different ST classes, but that's on the SCCA, not on our region or the local drivers that choose to tak...
