Re: Willow Springs Balcony Autocross track

Jayson would you mind listing the better options. Well, off the top of my head. California Speedway; Lot 6 (old 12), Lots 7 (old suite parking), Lot 1, Lot 5 El Toro; Multiple 'lot' areas. Qualcomm Stadium Hollywood park Camarillo Airport Pomona Fairplex Santa Anita Racetrack Big Bear Airport River...

Re: Willow Springs Balcony Autocross track

Has anyone used the Balcony Autocross track at Willow Springs Raceway and if so does it work OK for practice? There are better much options. This really falls into the 'AutoX poser' category. Safety requirements at will springs seem to vary greatly by the org hosting the event. Usualy OE set up is ...

Lots of pentrating oil. And anti-cease next time. Depends on your tolerance for $$$. I don't find the sleeves to be overly expensive each. Jay W I'll give them a call when I get a chance guys, appreciate it. Right now the ground control sleeves are stuck on the KYB AGX shocks and we are having a hel...

It's been several revisions since I've been on the Kumho XS's, but the old ones I remember have the specs you're looking for. I'd get a fair assessment on the current versions before buying something.

He's a bit old school, so it doesn't suprise me.

Check out what Madarash is up to. That'll be your best yardstick on modern prep for a 3rd gen.

Minors can't work course. Make mention of that at registration and they'll find non-course work for the boys.

Thanks, I'm collecting names. The Sunday games are still unknown (promoter #2 seems to be advertising my services, but hasn't asked me to support yet, even after nudging).

Need course workers! No experiance necessary, just decent legs and a boredom tolerance.

JayCom Hiring! 9/20-21

JayCom has a potentially big weekend coming up and I'm putting out the call for workers. This is not a 'volenteer' request, I'm looking for dependable and reliable people earn pay on the day. Sept 20th is SubieFest at AAA Speedway. This will be my fourth year running the AutoX for SubieFest and we'v...

So, newbie question since I haven't made but one event with you guys, and you do it way different than the east coast clubs I was in. If I can make it out, id be SMF. So Id run first, work second, and then by lunch, id be free (wanted to?) leave teh area? I'm still trying to understand how your eve...

weld on my header has cracked, and the lifetime warranty doesnt cover it. What other failure modes are there for a header?!? It's been a while, but I've actually had really good runs with Aamco on Chapman in Garden Groove.

Did my MR2 twice to stock standards and did custom work on my truck (lightened flywheel).

My neighbor independantly used him too (before he became my neighbor).

Wow, I found disposable coveralls on McMaster Carr for DIRT cheap. They have fancier stuff (Chem resistant, abrasion resistant), but econonomy stuff is really low priced. I ordered two sets of overalls that included a hood, have elastic cuffs AND include shoe covers for $3.50 ea. I went ahead and go...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!

Might as well class it right from the begining. The new Street Class rules allow the 1" diameter difference, rims must be of the same width as original though, and within a 1/4" of original offset (including use of spacers). Street Class allows ONE anti-roll bar (i.e. your sway/strut/torse...

Trimming Fiberglass Safety

Still working on final numbers, but something like $300+ to CSUF FSAE and $600+ to the charitable cause AbilityFirst. Also I didn't see as many photogifers as last year. Does anyone have some 'public' pics posted? I'd like to put a few on my page, and the Airport usually likes to get a few too. Jay W

For the little side competition, here's the classes I've made up based on entries. Don't complain, I didn't make a whiner class. 1. Street A/B (S2000s + STi) 2. Street C/E (Miatas + FRZs) 3. Street D/F/G (BMW, VW, Hyundi) 4. STS 5. Prep A (Porchse, Corvette, STR cars, Z, Race class cars) 6. Prep B (...
