FS: Motul 300V Chrono Synthetic Oil, 10W-40, 4 liters

Two 2-liter cans of Motul 300V Chrono Synthetic Motor Oil, 10W-40. They’re NOS, about 5-6 years old, never been opened, cans are a little banged up from going to the races as spares. $30 for all 4 liters. I can bring them to the practice on 1/21 or the Championship on 1/22.

Re: Historic class discussion

Rules Committee: Since no one has given any more feedback on this subject in the past few weeks, we (David Barrish and I) move that we go with this final wording for the Historic classes: "For stock class vehicles running street tires (140 tread-wear rating or above): Vehicles that were origina...

Re: Historic class discussion

Craig, Thanks for your thoughts. It had occurred to me that someone running an old car with 12 inch wheels might want to do something similar. I know I would have no objections tweaking the proposal to allow that, and I doubt the other competitors would have any objections. BTW, my CRX runs 13x5 whe...

Re: Historic 2 Rules Addendum

Rick, Since the Historic 2 class is a provisional class this year, David Barrish and I would like to recommend an addendum to the rules: "For stock class vehicles running stock tires (140 tread-wear rating or above): Vehicles that were originally equipped with 13 inch wheels may run 14 inch whe...

Scott, I know you said you wanted a car with more horsepower than the Corvette, but I think Tom's feelings will be hurt. ;)

Re: Historic class discussion

Rick, So did the Historic 2 proposal get approved for 2011? Is that why there are Historic class listings for all the Stock classes (A Stock Historic, B Stock Historic, etc.) in addition the plain old "Historic"? If so, that's great, but I thought we were going to include all classes (Stre...

Re: Historic class discussion

Rick, Please submit the final wording from Dave's post above. I imagine the class might get 4 to 6 entrants at first by pulling a few of the older cars from various Stock and Street Prepared classes, and maybe the "later" cars that have been running in the existing Historic class. So initi...

Re: Historic class discussion

. Not a big fan of the .975 for cars other than stock. For one thing it will make a mess of the classing as I have to create another class for EVERY class with the extra index. But didn't someone say that only one car was actually stock and most had some mods? Are we going to force them to pretend t...

Re: Historic class discussion

I'm in too. Who do we submit it to, and by what means (message board post, e-mail, etc.)?

BTW, I can't wait to see Robert's FF on 400 treadwear M&S tires to get that extra PAX advantage.

So how do we move this forward? Do we all contact our respective club reps, and tell them to do a motion and vote on it at the next Board meeting?

Re: Historic class discussion

Allowing the wider wheels seems somewhat contradictory to the nature of a class called Historic. Isn't the whole point of this class to create a place to play with cars that have been made obsolete by technology? Especially ones where modifying them to make them competitive would diminish their val...

Re: Historic class discussion

I propose we leave the existing Historic class as is and call it "Historic 1." Then create a Historic 2 class for 1969 and later cars that are at least 25 model-years old (that is, '69 thru '86 for 2011). For simplicity's sake, drop the exceptions list, and go strictly by model year. Leave...

Re: Historic class discussion

It's still SCCA GS legal, and that's the way I would run it. It's a very nice original car, and I'm not going to alter it. I drove it both regionally and nationally last year until I replaced it with my "late-model" '88 CRX.

Re: Historic class discussion - Historic 2

So will we have the Historic 2 class for 2011 so I can run my '85 CRX, or am I allowed to run it in our existing Historic class?

Scott, Actually you need a '90 or '91 CRX Si seat if you want the red stripe in the fabric. The '88 and '89 CRX Si seat center sections were two-tone gray with no red.

Definitely awesome, Jeff! Many people don't realize how difficult it is just to finish in the trophies at Nationals, much less be THE National Champion!

FS: Vintage 205/60x13 Kumho Victoracers for a vintage car

For sale real cheap, a set of four 205/60 x 13 Kumho V700 Victoracer tires. They’re old, but they’ve been stored in a cool, dark place. All are evenly worn down to about 2/32s. Good for a practice or a track day. All offers considered; I just want them out of the garage, and I can bring them to El T...

I've got two very nice ones with about 2,700 easy street miles on them, and 6/32s tread depth remaining. I figured I'd use them sooner or later, but if you really need them, I'll take $150 for the pair
