Re: New minor waiver rules and forms!!

Use Form #1 above. Form #1 above has the CA notarial wording printed on the form. Our wonderful legislatures, passed a law stating the Notarial wording that must be used verbatim. SCCA is just protecting themselves, by including the wording, rather than change a notary use outdated text, and the doc...

While I've never liked SD's requirement that all must buy a Solo Membership... Sure is a lot better than the US vs THEM... but were not calling it competition, crap that has developed in LA over the last few years. In a nut shell ...we've argued to eliminate the word "championship" for fea...

Re: "entrants" and supplemental rules 7.9.1 question

I agree with George's interpretation. Even if they are SCCA members (annual or weekend membership), they should need to purchase a points card to be an official entrant and not a guest. If their a guest, and not an entrant, then they should be excluded from the results, and made ineligible to base ...

Re: "entrants" and supplemental rules 7.9.1 question

In our verbose rules... we apparently need a definition of a guest!

At the time the rules were written, non-SCCA members could play. IMHO, since all entrants are NOW SCCA members, we don't have guests anymore.

Re: "entrants" and supplemental rules 7.9.1 question

In the past, entrants were those in the class who crossed the start line at least once. No matter their club affiliation. If a 600 win's, your point for the class are based off of them for the event. If their not an entrant, we need to change that, so points are based off of the highest placing poin...

Ease, convenience, price: Costco Nuf Said! But on a serious side, there are three companies make probably 95% of the automotive batteries in the USA: Johnson Controls, Exide, and East Penn. - No matter the name on the sticker, one of those three companies likely made it. Hey Jason, The idea of a DIY garage sounds great, if you were close, I'd definitely be interested. Not sure how many from the LA/OC/Riverside basin will be up to a 1-2 hr drive one way, to work on their AX or street cars. That said your close to Willow Springs... you may draw some from the road raci...

I'm also guessing overheated rotors. Tracked the Integra ('91 GS) once at Holtville... on the third lap, I had zero brakes at the end of back straight... Thank God, going straight there, meant you just kept going down the runway.... They didn't feel right in the two proceeding corners... but my inex...

Hi Jake, I've been intending to do the math for months now on my tire wear (195/50/15 Re71R's). Finally sitting down & doing it. I ran 31 runs & 2922 miles before I flipped them. At that point the tire company who installed them was already pushing back... because I was just brushing the out...

While slightly higher pressures than I run on the Miata (28-30psi square, lot dependent)... your pressures sound very reasonable... HS... that's why your getting better wear than we get in STS. :-) - lack of camber keeps you inside edges from wearing - lower speeds in corners keeping the outside edg...
