I am a first timer and not sure what class my car would be in. I have a 2015 BMW 435i convertible, no mods completely stock, tires are like new only 9000 miles. Think it would be Street A ??

Hi Mark,

Welcome

M4's are in A Street (AS), your 435i would be in F Street (aka: FS)

In S.D.... Practice events fall in one of three categories. Private, open, or mixed. It's been years since an event was completely private. Most clubs allot a certain number of publicly available slots... They may make say 45 slots open to the public... then allow their membership to also run. As su...

Using a e85 search tool, looks like all the e85 options are on CA99, and none on I5.

While this isn't road racing or HPDE event, where you may chew them up faster than expected...

I would also make sure your brake pads have plenty of meat left on them too.

Have a coworker who mentioned today he's thinking of selling his '90 w/ ~80k miles. Very clean, non AX car, w/ matching hardtop.

Let me know if the 1.6 would be of interest, and I'll put you to in touch with each other.

If he landed at LGB or ONT, he would have missed the Q by ~100 miles... LAX overshot San Diego by more.

Re: Seeking course designer

Should be plenty of time to even allow course walking, but that is optional for a practice IMHO. With 12 runs, you can use your first as your course walk. Though exceptionally rare... it's also not completely unheard of for either a practice, or championship to do a parade lap, instead of walks. (a...

Sunrise is 6:39am. 1 hour, 51 minutes before first car leaves the line. Back when we used to do this, cones were often on the ground well before first light. Sunrise brought fine tuning. Also it wasn't just a hand full of people doing it as their work assignment, but all hands on deck by the sponso...

I also have a Sparco fixed back seat on slider/seat rail for a 1989 CRX. Back seats for CRX's are rare. Even more so to be on sliders. New Bridgestone RE71R tires produced a miracle. This was my best autocross performance in years! I concur! Took a gamble on the Dunlops two days before the Bridestone release based upon the prior Gen for each tire. I was 2-4 sec off pace all last year. Stood on my very 1st run, with rubber nubs sti...
