Farmington Bonus Challenge Win - Congrats to Nick Bjoin

Good job Nick. It takes good driving and steady nerves to win at Pro Solo. Bonus chalenge is as nerve wracking as any other part of the event.

Re: Super Expensive Racing Country Club

My company was doing some work for that project. The idea seems very cool, but I don't really see how they can pull it off in Thermal in essentially a swamp that will be 120 for 7 months of the year.

Re: Farmington Pro

I plan on staying on the interstate as long as possible, which means exiting at Thoreau and heading north on highway 371. This puts you a little closer to the event site (which is really closer to Bloomfield), and bypasses Farmington city traffic . The 371 is slightly more scenic than 491, but you ...

Re: Farmington Pro

I went to the Farmington event a couple of years ago and regularly drive to Telluride. The route through Flagstaff and up through the Rez is beautiful and fairly flat. It is mostly a two lane road though with minimal spots for safe passing. Pulling a trailer might not be hard but you might make your...

Re: June 9 & 10 AAA "Inside" Practice Reg Open

What a fantastic two days! Small crowd of mostly new people, but a great time was had on both days. I can't even count how many runs people got on a 30 to 40 second course depending on your abilities. It was great to see the Abilities First people getting rides on Saturday and seeing the smiles when...

That is fantastic. Your daughter is talented and fearless. I remember my daughter doing gymnastics and as a father being terrified about her getting hurt. It took almost 15 years of watching to get over it.

Re: Lumber Crayons?

I know we bought a bunch for the March Event. They must be somewhere either in the Trailer or more likely in the RV. Doug Tuelie would know for sure.

I thought this was sunny Southern California WTF - two spring events in a row with rain?

The picture at the splash had to be the first or second run of the day. I am sure by the third you couldn't recognize the color of the car as red

Re: Glen Helen RallyX, Mar 31 - Apr 1

It was a fun course. I wish I had the opportunity to run in the second group when things were drying out. The water splash in the first group was fantastic and went completely over the top of Jayson's miata. Note to self - turnon wipers BEFORE getting to the splash ;-)

EVent is happening tomorrow. Bring an umbrella and rain coat, rain pants and waterprrof shoes if you have them. Dry socks are always a plus. If you have an umbrella out on course, remember to close it and drop it before chasing to replace a cone. Running with the umbrella is not a good idea and leav...

Practice list should be posted sometime today. We have 24 people that signed up on MSR and we have not received your checks yet. We want to know what you are up to before we release those spots and announce who is in the practice.

Thanks for all that have signed up, and thanks for your patience.

According to the Orange County Register, they broke ground for the first homes within the "Park" area on January 31, 2012 with homes expected to be occupied in early 2013. The first phase looks like it is off of Irvine Blvd and north of the runways. This looks to be less than a mile from t...

1987 Porsche 924S - Good Buy?

I have a co-worker who is looking at a 1987 Porsche 924S with 70,000 miles. Car looks good as far as rust and so forth. The sellers wants $2,500 as it just sits in his driveway. Does anybody have any experience or thoughts on the reliability of this car. I doubt it would be used for autocross, so th...
