Re: catalytic Converters
Still passing smog, just regularly get a check engine light when warm. Being OBDI I haven't had any luck isolating the fault. Running BSP I have been told the removing the Cats wouldn't improve HP a lot but would significantly improve throttle response? My problem is the California Corvette had 3 Ca...

catalytic Converters
125k miles 22 years old, origianl equipment 1990. What's the chance I am losing meaningful hp and tq to my 3 Cats? Occassionaly through a check engine light when the car is driven for awhile. Being OBD1 chasing the code has been a guessing game. Was thinking OEM 22 year old cats might be tired or cl...

Re: Bushings
Cool,thanks
Bushings
Anyone know the proper name and where to obtain new bushings for shocks. The rubber on mine are showing some wear. Looking in the usual catalog's hasn't been helpful. My Bilenstiens seem to be performing fine otherwise.

Re: A Tip of the Cap to Tom Berry
All of the rocks and rubber .., especially the finish section. But, I did see at least 5 spins though in the run group. There was a dip-hump-dip in that last corner that was the biggest offender. We tried in vain to push-start it, but no dice. I'm trying real hard not to picture you guys trying to ...

Re: A Tip of the Cap to Tom Berry
As I was leaving the course from a course walk, I did see a blower out there. That job may have been rushed or something?? Not sure. Now that you mention it.... Someone tried to blow the course, but pulled the rope a little too hard and broke the rope. And the internal mechanism*. We tried in vain ...

Re: Class half empty
I also understand. As a car the mazdaspeed miata is too tempting to leave alone (and there is no street touring class for it). While going pax would be fun buying 275 is out of the budget. So it looks like ill be going CST and try for a trophy. 6th? lol Come race CST Well Anthony you could run CST ...

Re: StopTech Brakes
Thanks Jeff, I will place an order. Want front and rear pads.
I'll use the on line. Any chance of picking them up at the next event or is it better to ship.

StopTech Brakes
End of last season bought some StopTech brakes for my 1990 C4 Corvette. I believe I got them from Pro Parts the guy even delivered to an event. Not sure who that was. Any ideas. Been happy with the Brakes and would like to buy a set of pads for next season.
Thanks

SCCA Hard Card
The annual application for hard card lists multiple license types and the assoicated fee. One of the catagories is Solo License. I assume this referes to Solo 1 which is held on a race course, rather than us in the Solo 2 community, but I was hoping someone here could verify.

Would be interested in how many national and regional champions were in the group behind you. I don't think luck plays a part in that collection of drivers. Has to be skill.

Re: How To Win @ AX, by an Indy Driver ....
Best part of being starter was watching each drivers approach to the start. The routines varied quite a bit. Tom's almost reflected someone getting ready to pick a safe.
