Re: February 20 & 21 Events Are Now Open for Registration!
Do we have our SSS for the event assigned yet? I took the SSS class and need to work out some "shadowing" time for a couple of events.

Hey Rick,
I live in RSM (off the 5 at Oso), I'd be happy to pick them up if you need me to.

Re: 2015 Novice School and Open Practice Nov 28/29
Perhaps Mathew can give you some pointers? :P Actually, I dragged my feet a bit too long and wanted to see if I can get Matt into the school as a student (and perhaps Sunday practice if it's not all booked up). MSR has the front door locked, so I can't waitlist him. Although, at this point, maybe h...

Re: New to Autocross and Racing
Hi Randy, Thanks for reaching out. I'll be there at 7 a.m. Saturday, planning on taking in as much as possible. I'd love to ride with you, and have you ride with me, too. Should be easy enough to find your car. Mine is blade silver. I'm not sure how the numbering scheme works, however. I chose a nu...

Re: New to Autocross and Racing
Welcome Tom, Fellow RSM resident and Corvette driver (Grand Sport) here. Looking at registration there will be a couple of Corvette guys out for Saturday's practice. They're all a great group, and you'll have no problems making new friends. The folks at registration are a great bunch and will help y...

I like to see some "lane change" type of elements on occasion. Sweepers (not too long) that feed nicely into slaloms (or Chicago boxes) are always kinda fun for me as well.

Re: Regular/Time only/X runs
Interesting thread. It should be mandatory reading for all event attendees. The logistics of these events present some tough issues, and the people behind the scenes are already working their tails off. Although participants being on time for work assignments seems to be an issue that everybody can ...

I heard the Corvette Bash is moving their venue to Snow Valley for their Saturday event due to helicopters using the airport space for the fire on the other side of the hill. Is our event potentially moving as well?

Re: January Event Registration is Now Open!
Hello. I'm a first timer here on the forum, and to Autocross in general. I would like to know if spectators will be allowed at this Saturday's practice. I am really interested in getting involved in autocross, and I would like to attend the Saturday practice to see what it's all about. Thanks. Spec...

Re: December Events Registration Now Open
Hey Rick (George/KJ?), I need to cancel my son's (Matthew Gonzalez) registration for this Saturday's practice event. He has a mandatory school event, so he won't be able to join us this weekend. I tried to do it at Motorsportreg.com, but didn't seem to have that option available. I (Randy Gon...

Re: Practice events -- need SCCA mbrship?
I'm shaking out a new project and interested to run in the Dec practice. What are the general requirements nowadays to do the Sat practice runs, does it require SCCA membership, is it a run/work group format, and appx how many runs are typical? I'd like to get as many runs as possible. Venue is at ...

Re: Rainy Day Procedures?
While driving up the 5 to work this morning, the sun broke through the clouds behind me for a bit. Up ahead the full arc of a rainbow appeared....with one leg headed right down into our track at El Toro! I take that as a very good sign for the weekend! Dibs on the pot of gold if anyone fin...
