I think you are good for ST. The most competitive place would be DSP but that's a lot of mods and $. They do well in STX when you add a good LSD, and now with the allowance of wider tires and wheels for 2wd cars in STX , I know 255s will fit. How wide are your wheels and tires? LSD? Yes, STS did become ST, and STS2 became STS. Up to 225 tires on 7.5" wide wheels in ST. Up to 265 tires on 9" wide wheels in STX. I think the 3 series is best served in STX unless you want to spend a bundle. Tires are 225 and no LSD...So, ST it is....
