Urgent: Need motorhome transit help this week for the June 10-11 2017 event.
Is there anyone available to assist with the transfer of the motorhome from Fontana to El Toro this week (i.e. sometime before Friday afternoon practice setup)? We just need somebody to drive the motorhome from Fontana to El Toro. Typically we need a two driver team meet at El Toro to drop a car and...

Hey Danny, Have you tried posting here?: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/southern-california-45/ or in the C5 section? A couple of our SCCA Vette guys are pretty active on CF. Just a thought for an additional resource for you. That being said, I do know that several of our club member...

Re: Yet another newbie
Welcome Eric, Saturday would be the day for ride alongs (Sunday is the competition day, so most experienced drivers are focused on competing). I'll be there and would be happy to give you and/or your son a ride for a lap or two (and I run with my 18 y.o. son. He's always happy to take a passenger as...

Re: Yet another Nub wanting to try autoX with stock car
Thank you, Rick! Also, do you know if the Marine Way entrance (from Sand Canyon) to AMCI/Runway at El Toro is now open? That way hasn't been open for a long while now. We've been coming in the entrance off Astor (turn left onto Marine way): https://www.google.com/maps/dir//9201-9219+Astor,+Irvine,+...

Hey O, Looks to me like practice is pretty full, but you can always register and get on the wait list (they'll let you know a few days before if you get in). The Sunday events don't typically have an entry limit, so you can get into the event no problem. Let them know it's your first time out at the...

Re: The February Events are Open for Registration
Hey Charles, The Saturday tech spots are already spoken for in February. When I'm tech chief, I typically try and offer them to the folks that take the crummy Sunday spots at previous events first (i.e. the first Sunday tech shift is long and steps all over your course walk time, so it's not always ...

Re: The February Events are Open for Registration
Any volunteer opportunities for a novice? Always. One of the biggest ways you can contribute as a novice is to help clean-up after an event. This is a great way to help with an oft neglected club need and is the first step to becoming valued volunteer who we can call on when needed. Most practices ...

Hey Paul,
If you're looking for a few extra runs on a competition day, get there early and purchase some X-Runs....4 extra laps (no additional work assignment). Great way to get some extra seat time.
