Re: Some open discussion on run formats
Thanks for the invites and for the mention of CST. I'll have to look up more info on the class as I didn't built my car to be legal for anythying in particular (wing extends past rear bumper etc). I know I need to come out and try it, I just feel like I have so much to learn as a driver that with t...

Re: Fast Kids on Karts
Last month, Will and I were really concerned about the hard right slight off camber turn to go back up the hill to 12P after flying all the way down the hill through the walloms that were flat even for a car. Looked like spin city. Robert went through flat probably turning in at very close to 40mph...

I wanted to comment on how fast those kids have gotten. I was very impressed watching while working on course. I got a little concerned at times. When are they going to lift? WoW! I guess they did not need to lift after all...

I bought one from Steve Coe of C2 Racers when I was running in AS.
I can bring mine for you to try out or you can check the c2racers.com website and get one for yourself. Lots of other interesting stuff too.

Re: December Practice/Championship Reg Open
I actually prefer the "traditional" practice set-up, old fuddy-duddy that I am, because it's more predictable and fair. You know when you run, you know everyone is getting the same number of runs (mostly) and, most importantly, you know when you are not running so that you can do other th...

Re: December Practice/Championship Reg Open
Has the practice format been determined? I've been waiting to see if we get a last-minute rush, but I think we're pretty much set as far as number of entrants. I'll work the numbers today and figure out whether we have enough bodies to run four groups or whether we have to run three. Regardless, It...

I think it may be a new guy from the Detroit Region?
Tom Frecentese
Met him while working course at the last event.
He was interested in getting his old numbers. (I think Jeff and Nicholl have those numbers taken?)

I was thinking HIST STU or ESP.
Need to go to aftermarket 17"X9" wheels to get competitive tires.
Stock 15X7 wheels won't cut the mustard.

One of the first things the S2000 needs is a front bar. A CR bar costs about $100. Adjustable bars cost about $1000. }:)

I apologize if the topic doesn't belong to this forum. I have a Honda Fit for daily driving and I'm looking for some opinions on what fun car to get for an autocross/weekend car. I don't like changing tires before the event, so I guess my best choice would be the street tire class. I am interested ...

I was going to mention the Lotus but it did not seem to fit the criteria of being practical for long trips. The S2000 can hold my golf clubs so it fits my criteria. The Solstice does not.

Re: Which SK1 car to get
Which S2000? AP1, AP2, CR? I'm thinking regular AP2, 2004+ because they are newer. Is there consesus whether AP1 or AP2 is better for autocross? CR tend to be a little hard to find and a little expensive. Probably more course dependent. Would you rather be shifting to 1st or 3rd? AP2 also use...

Great Thanksgiving Weekend! Thanks to everybody for all your hard work and keeping the bar set on high. (Nice to have hot drinks available on a cool day.)
It was also nice for me to just show up and drive.
Fun course. Wish I could figure out where the limt was on those fast sweepers?
