As somebody else pointed out on the Thunderhill Facebook page, an Austrian-backed, British-based team with French engines and a Japanese luxury brand sponsor plays the U.S. national anthem. In New Jersey, across from Manhattan. :D

Re: Power Steering Fluid

It looks like i'm going to replace my power steering pump due to intermittant failure in slaloms and tight zig-zags. Any thoughts on upgraded fluid? Good quality synthetic. I ran Amsoil in my '94. When I first got it, the pump would cavitate in slaloms leaving me with more resistance than assist. F...

Only the one in my 2002 daily driver. :) And it doesn't always want to go up; previous owner could have gotten it fixed for free under warranty because of a TSB, but didn't bother.

Re: Time to clean out the garage

Bringing this back to the top.

Any and all of the stuff listed in the first post is free for the taking. I need to clear this stuff because I'm not going to take it with when it comes time to move. So claim stuff now or it's headed to the scrap yard.

Re: My friend, Sho Torii, may want to relocate to So Cal

What about what Toby suggested this morning? Looking at Corona; Seb, what do you say? Toby thought that there were a lot of Japanese companies in Irvine (is that your experience, Sean?) for Keiko to work at and if your company air ships from Japan, perhaps it will come through March air base - so C...

Re: Car Insurance

I've been very happy with AAA. Was with Farmers for years, but when I had a second water claim in one year and the idiot from Servpro saw some mold on the wall under the sink--that was there when we bought the house three years before--he reported it to the insurance company. Didn't matter that it w...

Re: Is there a "season" when Craftsmen tools go on big sale?

On a different note, Craftsman tools (non-electric / powered) have a life time warranty. You do not need a receipt to exchange them. The cheapest way to pick them up is to watch garage sales, and take in used /broken tools, and exchange them for brand new pieces. These two ways are how I have amass...

Not that popular so far, it's a sales flop.

Re: Auto Club Dragway suspends activities due to noise complaint

http://www.autoweek.com/article/20120301/NHRA/120309991 This reminds me of all the whiners in my area regarding airport noise. The airport has been there since the beginning of time (strange but true), but the neighbor groups are always trying to shut it down, mostly citing noise as the reason. So ...

Bloody hell! You moved next door to a racetrack/airport/military installation and now you've noticed it's noisy? Buy some ear plugs.

No, there was another one there, hood paint was half gone. I recently bought a Miata for RallyX. Besides the 'fun for buck' factor, just about everyone who autoxes has owned one. So there's a plethera of local spare parts and repair expertise. I bet there's 10 people reading this that'll change a m...

Re: Can i run my Jeep GC SRT8 in an autocross event?

BMW calls the X5 an SAV... Not an SUV. I wonder if the SEB would buy that. ;) Both the X5 in higher models and the Cayenne Turbo have sport modes that lower the vehicle for handling. I've taken an X5 M to the limit. Tadd has probably done the same to a Cayenne Turbo. Those vehicles still have shiny...

Re: Can i run my Jeep GC SRT8 in an autocross event?

Granted, I have ridden in a 2008 GC SRT8, driven pretty fast around the big track at Willow Springs, BUT, the driver was Sam Moses, who holds several track records in various classes at Riverside and Willow Springs, and because it was a press even he was not pushing it anywhere near 10/10ths. It was...

The other thing I forgot to mention about an 800 number is it gives you another means of tracking the effectiveness of your SEO. People might not click through every time you appear in a search, but the call has more value than a click.
