Re: Where can I buy this locally? Heat Shield

Mako, I know it's a shame to cover that shiny new header, but I'm a big fan of these to help keep underhood temps down: http://trackdogracing.com/website/heat_shields.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Oh, and FWIW, most local Checker/Autozones (CSK type stores) here in AZ ...

I'm well aware of the shifting....El Toro Divisional last year had 13 shifts per run. ;)

Re: STR: S2000 vrs MX-5 thoughts?

Jason, Goodwin would have some accurate info on fitment, but I think 255 might be the limit for an NC given the proposed fender allowances. To be honest, I don't think I'd want to go any bigger than that regardless. Some additional data: my CSP car weighed 2370 at Nationals and aside from wheels/tir...

Re: 2009 Wendover ProSolo

Now that the forecast is now so awesomely showing good chances of rain all weekend, can anybody offer any details on the surface? I'd guess that since it's an airport, it should drain well; any chance it's grooved?

Thanks guys.

Yes Jason, we'll be there. Max told me he knows how to win $600 on the slots in 5 minutes.

We cheaped out and booked at a room at the Rainbow. Gotta represent my Miata roots.

Re: 2009 Wendover ProSolo

So which is the preferred route from Vegas, 93 all the way up or 318? I believe that the Silver State Classic is run on 318, so while it would easily accommodate "brisk" traveling, I worry it's heavily patrolled. Any advice from those that have made the trip?

I know for the E46's this added an incredible amount of torsional rigidity, iirc ~+30%. Chris's car sounds to be a truly unique example.

Re: Good 12 Volt Compressor ???

As others have covered, tanks and compressors both have their strengths and weaknesses. If you decide to go with a compressor, we've been using the one below for the past several years and it's the smoothest/quietest I've ever come across. Chances are good that you can pick it up at your local Costc...

Fantastic event! The separate slalom and figure-8 courses offered car *and* driver development opportunities that appeared to be under appreciated. Kudos to Greg also on a great course.

You can if you have an Xbox Live Gold account (~$50/yr). The Playstation Network is free for the PS3, but you definitely get what you pay for...Live is worth it.
