Re: New and would like some help with classing

KJ Christopher wrote: My guess is you're right. I doubt you were doing hard brake, hard turn, full throttle in the church parking lot. And a lot depends on where the sound meter is set up. I've heard of several cars tripping the limit with the CAI, a source of noise I hadn't previously considered.

YES please come get them I can sell you my gunmetal stock rims with used Hoosiers if you want. How much do you want for them? Any cracks in the stockies? How much life is left on the Hoosiers? and maybe my black ones with more life hoosiers. They might go to Tom D though, well just the tires not th...

Re: New and would like some help with classing

BTW-the sound thing is sort of a bluff... Keep in mind that San Diego's is not though. 93dB @ 50Ft, toughest in the country and 93.1 will get you a DNF. Jay W Hopefully someone can verify on Saturday that the MR2 is less then 80db @ 50 feet. I still think it is louder then that but the db meter we ...

Way, way too courteous. We don't get much of your type around here. My type? I never knew I had a type. I just thought I was weird. In that case, nevermind, we have plenty of that around here! LOL in that case I might fit right in! Have you seen Chad's sister car 4 sale: http://forums.solo2.com/vie...

Re: Question about signing up for an event

I sent the check. The post office said it would be there Monday. Hopefully I will see you all there! Another question: My boyfriend wants to take my MR2. The event flyer stated; Closed exhaust - maximum 95db @ 50 ft. We have a disable meter and am going to test it on Sunday. Is it ok to run with a e...

Question about signing up for an event

So I send the check and show up? It seems odd to me. For the ladies school there was a number to call to verify. How do I know there are spots left? How do I know the "cut off" date has not passed? I would really like to go to this event: http://www.solo2.com/eventpage.asp?eid=" oncli...

Re: New and would like some help with classing

Another question;

I have removed my precat (they can clog and ruin an engine) I have my main cat and can pass a stiffer test when smogged but it does not have all the factory smog equipment. Would that make me ineligible to run in California Street Modified?

Re: New and would like some help with classing

There is a local version on street tires? That is good news. I don't mind modifying my car for another class but I just can't afford racing tires. I said that before but it looks like SM2 has (almost) no rules, I can't (won't) modify my car that much! I would love to compete in local classes. I hop...

Re: New and would like some help with classing

I attended the Ladies Autocross school and enjoyed the event very much. If I were to compete what class would I be in? I looked it up and my car fit the street prepared category on the dot except for the internal engine upgrade. My engine is stock (94 Mazda rx-7 1.3L wankel) except I have a mild st...
