Re: how has the economy hit you?

My industry has been hit hard (automotive), but my company (Toyota) will survive.

I've been very fortunate so far in this economy. Only reduced bonus and no overtime currently. Yearly overtime for me is about 20% of my earnings.

Saving more now, but not directly do to the economy. Want a go kart!

Welding Shop Needed - South Bay

I am planning to weld some baffles into my oil pan.

Anyone have recommendations of a welding shop located in the South Bay?

Thanks,
Tin

Racing Seat Recommendation for E36 M3

So, I would like to get trade in my nice heated leather seats for some racing seats for my E36 M3. What I want is: 1.) Sit lower in the vehicle . My head currently hits the ceiling with my helmet on. I'm asian so all my height is in the torso. 2.) Something supportive laterally. I'm 6' with a 34&quo...

Re: Looking for Used 350Z/G35

Thanks guys for the input.

My brother mentioned he did want to take it to autox or track sometimes. I think its really unlikely he'll do it often, also nothing serious. So a non-brembo 350Z or G35 coupe will do.

Looking for Used 350Z/G35

I'm not looking for one, my little brother wants to get one. He's making ok money now in the game industry, and wants a nice car.

What is the expected market price for a clean, low mileage 350Z/G35? Any issues we should pay attention for?

Thanks,
Tin

Re: Photos from Japan

Cool ... what do the japanese think of their F1 drivers ? Just got back from the race! That is soo exciting in person! The acceleration is soo amazing and the sound! I was at the hairpin between the 100R and 300R. Pics and video to come. They aren't so great because my point and shoot cam sucks and...

Re: Need Apartment Advice in South Bay Area

I actually work down the street from ExxonMobil at Toyota. When I looked for my apatment I found that westsiderentals.com by far has the best listings for apartments. Basically the South Bay areas I looked at were as you stated, Hermosa, Redondo Beach, and West Torrance. Hermosa is fun, but too loud...

Re: CRG 125cc Shifter

Dave,

If the kart is still on sale in January 2009 I am 85% sure I would buy it :D .

January because I'm moving to Japan for a few months, which is postponing my purchase of another car suitable to transport a kart.

Looks like you have an awesome deal and I'm surprised no one bought it yet!
