Nationals registration is open

Dunno if you guys know it or not, but it's been open for a couple days. Haven't seen anyone from SoCal sign up, so I was wondering if its becuase no one knows about it. If there is a specific number you want to run at Nats, better do it quick!

Re: Tom Berry! Another Miata course?

Yeah, I did forget in my initial post that the PAX was not adjusted anymore for it being a Pro. I have no idea what 200ft times would be for an STR car, but I'm pretty sure they suck in a STR MX5 :D Dude, MX5s launch better than S2000s on Hankooks! It was soooo painful to see in the corner of my ey...

Re: ProSolo, El Toro '12: VIDEOS & STILLS

Mako, thanks SO MUCH for taking the slo mo vids, on top of your usual excellent picture taking! The video you have of me taking the slalom is AWESOME. It's so cool to see what it looks like from the outside when I try to dance the car around the cones. A lot of times after I pass the slalom I think ...

Car Insurance

Any good recommendations for good/inexpensive car insurance and/or agents? I want to use State Farm, but they are just getting too expensive...

I'm not a homeowner, so can't use that for any discounts.

Porsche Mechanic

Anyone (KJ???) know of any good mechanics around the LA/LAX area? I have a friend that wants to buy a 99 Porsche 911, but is thinking about having the car checked by a mechanic before he buys. Any suggestions?

Re: WTB!!! Hankook RS3 255/R17

I think James is over simplifying my chances. With 27+ people in STR, there are probably about 10 people that can easily win! I'm just happy to show up and enjoy the wonderful scenery }:) Oh, then you won't mind me driving your car and you can drive mine on the 245 RS3s? hehehe ;) You have THE car ...

So, Mr. Precision, you are blaming your future loss on .4" of rubber? Plus James, it's not all about winning. It's about friendship, camaraderie, fun times, and all that bollocks! But Max, I get to heckle you at all of our local events, and I don't have to pay for a hotel! If I go, I need to m...

Yom - you big girl's blouse... what's wrong with Dunlops, especially at SD? I have a set of 245/40/17 RS3s you could borrow for a small fee. Nothing's wrong with them, other than the fact that I need to buy another set of wheels for them, and after the Tour, I won't touch them until we go back to A...

And this doesn't consider the additional time it takes to design and set-up a proper grid. Oh wait a minute......it's easy......I forgot! :mrt: So the folks in Chicago, Milwaukee, and other regions must sprinkle pixie dust over the grid and have it magically work for them. Setting the grid up isn't...

Re: Cal Club grid process could use tweaking...

If I can attend the sunday event next time, I'll set up early that morning, but if QV or anyone else wants to do it for the practice, it's SUPER easy. If you wanna make a grid for 30 cars, All you need to do is make 2 rows of cones, 16 cones each, space the 2 rows about 12 feet apart, and each cone ...

Re: Cal Club grid process could use tweaking...

running the grid like this only requires 2 people, not 3-4. in terms of setup, all we need to do is instead of allocating grid space as a square, do it as a rectangle. There's a LOT of unused space either on the south side of our traditional non-hot area (just south of where we teched yesterday), an...

Cal Club grid process could use tweaking...

So after having run Cal Club for a while, I find myself wondering why we do grid the way we do here? -It's really confusing becuase most of the time I have no idea when my run sequence is, whether I am a single driver or a multi driver. -many times, I end up coming back to grid in a different spot. ...

Re: Tired of being penalized for being a single driver car!

well, I've been meaning to talk to the board about the way we do grid here at Cal Club. It might help alleviate this problem as well, as it would help immediately identify how many two driver and one driver cars there are. I'll start it in another thread.
