So, let me get this straight. If I sell my Miata AND add $1500 or so, I can purchase these shocks. Guess I won't be running with the Big Dogs anytime soon...or ever.

Re: CSCC 1/18 - 1/19 Photo and Video Thread

Winning PAX run (2nd run) - 67.316. The run was crap: many missed apexes, timing off all over the place and so far off line I nearly took out the outside wall of cones on the high speed downhill part. 3rd & 4th runs were much better, but made major braking errors in each of those runs (+1 sec.)...

Re: Breaking in a new motor

What Pete has posted from Flyin Miata, in concert with what Bobby is recommending, is how I have always approached engine building and break-in of "old school" normally aspirated engines, whether it be a Cortina FF motor, or a Ford or Chevy V-8. If I were rebuilding my 1.8 Miata motor, it ...

I'm not sure about the whole car seat thing, but my RX-8 is for sale if you decide you want one. I've had fairly average-sized adults in the back seat of mine on various occasions. All of the things you mentioned for maintenance sound about right. You're right to be nervous about the engines, but t...

Then it would be called a race. Years ago, we had an event @ Dodger stadium. There were two courses, a right and a left. Two runs on each with a combined time, lowest wins. It started with a fairly long (1/8 ? mi.) straight away, so it was a drag race to start. It was ALOT of fun. My VW pissed off ...
