Re: Nurburgring Laps

Insane. Has anyone had any experience on the Ring? I was lucky enough to get two laps in a GT3 RS but I've yet to drive on it myself. I'll be back there next summer if anyone is interested maybe we could do a meet there, maybe do a few laps in a rental }:) I've done a dozen laps in a diesel A-class...

Re: Need a graphic artist

Depending on how involved we're talking, I can do what you need. I'd be willing to do it gratis, assuming we're not talking something crazy. If you want some sort of real design (e.g. something artsy, not just a bunch of logos, etc.), we can talk. Also, I've always worked for regular old print outp...

PSA ---> Trash on course and in grid has been a problem,....

Several folks have noted that trash (on the assault) has become a bigger problem lately. No I am not talking about cars! Part of the increase in trash is because the club has been providing bottled water. It is great that water is provided on hot summer days but the increase of bottles at the event...

Re: When Do I Have to Leave for Nationals?

Solo Nationals:
Arrive on the weekend. Get some runs in the sand box before your event.
You have to wake up early and don't forget about the time change.
You and 800+ racers all walking and parking at the same time.
Rain, cold wind, hot sun, ice all in the same day.
Solo Nationals, See it all!!

Re: SCCA Nationals Survey ...

It looks like some big changes are on the table. I don't know if I will ever return to Nationals (in Kathy's or my car) if some of the questions on the survey are real issues up for consideration for 2009. I don't know if I can swing it with gas at $4.80 a gal , the possibility of moving Nationals f...

Re: Course Finish Standard

Finishes are very tricky when heavy breaking and turning is required. I always try to find some straight line and mash the brake pedal, then turn after the car has slowed down to a safe speed. Any time I find myself forced into hard trail breaking or turning over bumps at speed after the lights it i...

The SCCA offers a FREE weekend pass for passengers only. You can't drive. But you just sign the same form as for a weekend $5 membership and we print PASSENGER on the form and its free. Passengers are okay during practice, X runs, and fun runs. During competition runs only approved instructors can ...

Re: Solo2 cars you admire

Now that we have this great function where we can add pics to our threads, I thought it would be a good time to discuss what cars you admire. Although I don't see these cars too often, I have a great sense of fondness when I do: John Williams 240Z: loud muffler, loud brakes, and it's carborn-fiber ...
