Re: SCCA - Dixie National Tour (Round 1) Results

http://www.scca.com/documents/resultfiles/Sunday%20Final%20-%20R3.pdf Looks like Toyo takes it 1-2 in ST (Street Touring). Not only looks like, they did! And Hoosier takes, and Khumo takes and... Toyo did take 3 of the 5 trophy places in ST, but Bridgestone took 3 of the 5 trophy places in STS. If ...

I would guess partially from the distortion of the window, but that wouldn't contribute to all of it.

They are cool though.

Re: founder of 'TapouT' killed street racing in newport beach

Very sad people choose to drive at speeds necessary to cause that much damage on public roads, and the aftermath it brings. Its rather freaky watching the hazards blinking, especially the bulb on the ground in the rubble where the drivers door would be, but the tail lights are not lit. Were they run...

Re: Looking for help to prep for Tour / Pro

Criag - I have some 15x7 Kosei T1-S lying around with some fairly worn Azenis on them. You are welcome to borrow them for the Tour/Pro. You can either use the tires or throw them away and mount something else up. You'll need to pick them up from my place though in Trabuco Canyon, or I reckon I coul...

Looking for help to prep for Tour / Pro

Having a blast in the Miata so far... AND.... I know I can't be completely competitive this year.... but would love to borrow for these two events some items to improve my chances from bottom of barrel (or legality) problems. I know many have extra rims lying around, holding them for various reasons...

Re: 2009 El Toro Pro Solo Thread

Since I can't afford to be competitive for the Tour & Pro this year in STS, and the only "unmod" I have to do at this time is put the stock air box back in... SK2 will limit me to stock sized rims (aka 14") is the Falcon 615 still the best tire in a 14, or is there something bette...

Re: 2009 El Toro Pro Solo Thread

Yeah, they're not separated between SK1 and SK2, and I think we have a real AM entry there as well in Randy Chase (unless he's driving something different or registered in the wrong class). So are we running heads up against AM? Tom, Mark, do either of you know how this is going to work? For the Pr...

I'm surprised it has never hit the news (or at least not that I have seen) but a VERY large processing company call Heartland, which process for many large retailers inc. Best buy, had a security breach on 2/21/09. My business card with Wells Fargo was effected (as per the fraud dept) along with 10'...

ST & STS index numbers vs. the classes the cars originate out of seams off. HS 0.774 GS 0.792 ST 0.800 ES 0.806 STS 0.801 In essence, ST cars are faster then the classes the cars primarily come from. But the STS Miata's are slower than the stock class the originate from? Am I understanding this ...

7800lbs - 4.7L Doublecab 6.5' bed 4x4 (SR5, Limited) It's not my truck but it's all stock and I think it's the one above, so tell me about what type trailer will haul both cars... I was hoping you would come back with an answer that it had the 5.7, and your payload number was off. Based upon the ab...

Have a bit of experience towing with the Tundras... need some more details to answer your question. Starting with no version has a "7500lbs" towing capacity. In that range are: 7700lbs - 4.7L Double cab 8.1' bed 4X4 (Tundra grade SRS, Limited) 7700lbs - 4.7L Crewmax 5.5' bed 4x4 (SR5, Limi...

I only wish I had the connections you all have! But it's finally an upgrade from the 256kb/s we had from the time we moved here in June '04 until last November SBC finally improved the connection. I'm lucky to have anything more than dialup as were more than 20,000 feet from the hub. Cable... not av...

Re: SSM Exhaust rules ?

Not familiar with the class specifics. Based upon your post.... and the rule you listed, yes it is very generic. Basically it's allowing for the local event sites need (rules) to be met without placing any specific restrictions on your design. In SD at Qualcomm, there is a 93 db max. If you break 90...

Fluffy sounds a lot like Samantha. We had deliveries to our front porch: mice, gophers, birds, lizards, snakes. Would sit there with the catch of the day until we opened the door and acknowledged her deed. Then lucky she would trot of with it, and we would never see it again. She had a broken tail m...

How much does SDR cost? (sorry for the noob question) SDR has been $15.00 since I joined in 97. If it has gone up to $20 as posted above, that's news to me. That said, renewal has not yet come up for this year. I hope it hasn't since SDR has the same arrangement CalClub has with the Club side, and ...

Re: Autocross Patching Party!‏

Wouldn't it make more sense to patch asphalt with the same, not concrete? Now will just chip out new asphalt around the concrete patches as they expand and contract at different rates / temperatures.

Our worst freeways in So Cal are the ones they apply asphalt over the top of existing concrete.
