Re: CST Tire Treadwear Rules Change
Looking 2018/2017 years of overall results say that no one has raced in CSM since 2016. With CST already having very strong large turnout year after year, perhaps we can compromise by tweaking the rules for CSM to restrict tire wear ratings to DOT tires of 41tw and above? That way, if it turns out t...

How about we just vote on an upcoming meeting and ask club reps to poll their members in the meantime?

Re: CST Tire Treadwear Rules Change
Why wouldn’t we just kill csm while we are at it? And why limit the treadwear to 100, why not cut straight to the chase and make the treadwear limit something like 41 (hoosiers are treadwear 40)? Is there a faster autocross tire you know of from 41tw to 200tw than the RE-71R/Rival S? If not, then w...

Re: CST Tire Treadwear Rules Change
I don't really see a reason to really limit CST to 200tw, as the class is supposed to be a "Run What You Brung" class. I can agree that the 140tw is a bit outdated nowadays. Honestly, I am not sure if there is any downside to NOT lowering the treadwear restrictions to 100tw. At this point ...

Re: Post Car Classing Help Questions Here!
Hey all - Have a fun one to bring out this weekend: 2019 Hyundai Veloster N, Performance Pack. All stock, except for RE71's on a base model 18" wheel. Car is OE equipped with the 2.0 turbo, 275HP, 6-spd manual, FWD, eLSD, active suspension (strut front, multilink rear). I expect it to eventual...

Re: Rules Proposal - Octane
looks like you can dunk it in your gas jug too, but it doesn't say what the tolerance is.
looks sketchy af
I think that russian tester is more meant to help combat watered down gas than for exact octane for compliance reasons.
Maybe SEB should buy one, test it vs its favorite lab

Seriously? $5000 kit just to make sure you fuel is compliant....omg lol Please tell me the SEB worked out a member discount rate? Lol Seriously though, since things are self policed, is there a cost effective procedure drafted by the SEB for Street and ST competitors? I would like to think these ru...

Re: Rules Proposal - Octane
at least one can measure octane. I think you can only do that with a lab, correct? Is there any home garage use tool that can be reliably used to help drivers check if their own fuel is compliant? My chemistry knowledge is limited on this, so if there are any such tool recommendations, please share!

Re: Rules Proposal - Octane
Sounds like you have never been to a trackday event, huh? Tell you what. I think you need to go and see who our regional motorsports competition is and what their customers are doing with their cars. Maybe by seeing it first hand, you can start to understand what we are up against to attract more dr...

Re: Rules Proposal - Octane
My take on it is it's not about cheating, but more about broadening our regional inclusiveness.
I would imagine our more serious national level competitors would run per national standards to get their cars sorted for Lincoln.

Re: Rules Proposal - Octane
Honestly as I personally disagree with the recent SEB rule change purposals, I am bias, but I do think Adam's proposal has some merrit. Regionally, it can be argued that the recent octane rule and current seat proprosal for ST classes threaten to deminish our local market competiviness to attract th...

MSR restrictions dont let us edit the field names, unfortunately.
There IS wording at the top explaining the options.
Any suggestions to draw more attention to the wording to make people actually "read"?

Re: 2018 Event Statistics
Not that it's going to be changed.... but... the problem actually starts by calling them "fun" runs. It implies a carefree jaunt of wild abandonment, i.e., conefest! Perhaps a more pointed statement about staying sane at the fun run drivers meeting is called for....... :? :...

FS: BRIDE A.i.R Seat (RED) SOLD
Selling a practically brand new Bride AIR seat. Used for 1 event, plus about 10 days of driving. Very lightweight (15lbs.) Fits comfortably to a 34-35" waist. 32-33" waist might need side pads to tighten things up for autocross. Lower thigh bolsters make ingress and egress easier, yet stil...
