I think If you had a volunteer sitting at the motor home with an FRS radio just for you it would help you. From my perspective (as a starter) I need to keep my eyes on the event and the staged car. The starter needs to look and see if any cars are having issues ahead as well as make sure the driver ...

Note that doing setup counts as your work assignment for the weekend. It is time to get some helpers for setup on Friday October 12th at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. I did not find a thread just for SUNDAY Aug 5th. I know that the practice has the Sunday link but I am not sure the folks that are attending just Sunday will click on the practice thread to register for Sunday.

Has anyone investigated helmets that have a thinner shell than most, to help with limited headroom? As far forward as I usually sit, I sometimes run against the roof as it slopes down to meet the windshield. I have a very low roof so I needed a low profile helmet.
