Re: The Emperor Has No Clothes

So.....the truth comes out! Little did we know that it's George's fault that McCain is now the head of the Republican party and possibly the next President of the most powerful country in the world! }:) It's a small world, indeed. You can never underestimate the power of words/suggestion! :o ...

Re: Site opinions

My guess is you were using someone else's computer with a real web browser that does spell check for you. Firefox does spellcheck for me on anything I type online. BTW, Board stats say we're are currently averaging 50.33 Posts per day! Yep, I have logged on with firefox several times. :) As far as ...

Re: The Emporer Has No Clothes

BTW, George, McCain is 5'7", an inch shorter than I am and I'm betting that was with lifts. He ain't as tall as you remember. I met McCain in NYC back in '01. He was there campaigning for Bloomberg. I have a pic of he and I smiling and shaking hands. McCain's smile didn't last long. It quickly...

Re: The Emporer Has No Clothes

I think this is worth noting.... Arch-conservative Bay Buchanan suggested that it may not matter what McCain does. Writing in Human Events on June 4, she declared: In reality there is only one candidate. Barack Obama. In November he will win or he will lose. John McCain is relevant only in so far a...

Mako, I'll get a price for you tomorrow and send it via email. What happened to Karen's fender?

Gary, I'll do an inventory of wheels/tires tomorrow and post it here with asking prices. I don't think the top will fit, but I'll check that out also.

Parting out - 1999 Miata

As many of you know, my 99 Miata has passed on to car heaven  , but the remains are still in my garage. The car is/was in perfect condition so it was a sad day when a tree jumped in the way of the front bumper causing the airbags to deploy, the windscreen to break, and generally wreak havoc wit...

Re: The Emporer Has No Clothes

Flip-flops George? How about Bob Barr? I'm only concerned about someone who has a chance to be president. Bob Barr phtt. So no elected leader or potential elected leader should ever change his/her mind? I don't mind anyone changing their mind, but in the political area, it should be accompanied by ...

Re: Recommendations for Paint Detailing

I've got a guy in Long Beach that details for a used car lot during the week and uses their stall for doing his own thing on Saturday. He does a great job, includes the engine bay, and is pretty cheap. Let me know. I still have that clutch for you. I'll bring it again Sunday. :)

Re: The Emporer Has No Clothes

Amazingly, the article doesn't say anything about his flip-flops. He has a habit of saying something one day and the complete opposite the next, but his supporters are not the least bit concerned. The man has become larger than life to them. Even his supporters argue about what he stands for. He has...

Our elected leaders are idiots, dah!

It will be a sad day but it seems to be inevitable that some sort of global warming BS legislation will pass in the near future. Both presidential candidates support it. It just barely missed this time. I'll be a sad day for the United States. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080606/ap_on_go_co/climate_...

All this talk of school and grades sickens me. With a .6 GPA, I didn't even know what a valadickwhatever was. I didn't know I was hanging with a bunch of brainiacs.

$5 by the end of summer. Price will drop before the election, then go back up until inauguration. Gas usually goes down at the end of the summer driving season do to lower demand and a change in formula to a cheaper blend. But if cost per barrell doesn't stablize, we still won't see a reduction. At my office, we seem to have a lot more time on our hands lately. All of the conversations seem to center around the 20yo receptionist. Seems she's coming in very tired lately. We like to keep business conversations to a minimum. :)
